Isn’t he bogging off to the high life of the Mancs
…why would any type of footballer go to that shower of shite…I understand money talks…but these people must have principles…and must be able to choose a team that would show off their talents…
Stand corrected re united. Re Forest they’re a well organised unit with a brilliant keeper and a 33yo striker in a rich vein of form. They aren’t title contenders. If they can get 4th that would be a great achievement
PGMOL tries to do their best to see that Salah doesn’t get given penalties.
Yes, intent-based forgiveness is the new thing on peacock.
I agree a goalkeeper isn’t saving every shot but there is the one against United tonights Madisons against Spurs 6 months he saves them.
Lerverkusen were never as defensive as Forest tonight.
We struggle with good teams only defending, but not against shit teams only defending.
Thankfully there’s more of the later than the former.
Forest were lucky to come away with a point at the end but let’s not pretend that everything is going smoothly. It’s not and has not for a while now. Another wasted first half, another soft goal conceded, 2 more points dropped.
Slot’s utilisation of the squad, or lack of, is worrisome. He has excellent choices at his disposal and for once we don’t have injury issues. Instead of making the most of it, he’s running his trusted players into the ground. It’s incomprehensible how he’s finished such a physically demanding match with just 3 subs.
The defence is looking like a sieve and a host of players are lacking freshness. You do have to ask if the current form is more or less what lies ahead.
Contented enough with the result,Forest at home and they are playing well this season.
We had an ordinary first halibut from around 60mins it was a different game.
Jota scoring within seconds of coming on, and Sels certainly kept us away from 3 points.
Starting to worry about Grav,he can’t be expected to have a whole load of blinders throughout the season, needs the odd rest.!
One thing I’m going say is a fair few have had a weeks rest and they also had a week pretty much between West Ham and Man Utd.
Not saying his approach is the right one but the issues are less about the fitness and more about the disruption of injuries perhaps that’s what he is trying to resolve.
I guess we will ultimately see if he is successful or not in that. My concerns are holding on to leads like at Newcastle and Man Utd those are games we would have seen out earlier in the season.
Thou sayest.
You would have loved the pub today. 1/2 dozen semi-frozen stalwarts, attempting to will that deciding goal in.
Not arsed about the draw. It beat the alternative.
It isn’t the starting 11, as most would have picked the one that started, it is making changes and using the players we have on the bench. Harvey has the ability to create or score from the edge of the area and surely Chiesa could have had 10/15 mins a the end as we were so on top
This was a decent point away to THE form team in the league. Or one of the form teams with the other being Newcastle.
Just look at the state of the chasing pack. Chelsea are middling, Arsenal are falling to pieces, City are still shite, Villa/Brighton/Spurs, etc. are all bang average to shite.
There’s no question that 85 points wins this league, likely with room to spare. Outside of a catastrophic collapse, we’re going to bag at least that many points the rest of the way, while the so-called “chasing pack” will continue to drop points along the way.
Forest were absolutely knackered tonight after about 75 mins, and without their 'keeper having an absolute worldie, we win that game. Form comes and goes, we had incredible form the first 15 or so games and it’s dropped off a bit lately, but we’ll find it again and will start racking up points and hopefully hoovering up a couple of cups along the way. Enjoy it instead of moaning about contracts and signings.

Good post match from Arne, what he expects from how a game goes to what some expect on here is like night and day.
He knew it would be a tough match and chances would be at a premium.
As he said they only really had that one chance.
But one chance is what teams are needing against us as we are lacking the mentality to concentrate defensively for 95 minutes, which is my main criticism of us at the moment.
“Form is temporary, class is permanent” is the worst and cruelest lie in football. He will bounce back and some of this is form, to be sure, but his injuries are becoming more of a problem as time goes by. It would not surprise me to find out he is struggling with some muscular issues.
Salah has been conditioned to think those are the rules in England, because for him they more or less are
At least, it is a good point compared to THAT day at Anfield…
Suddenly, the team is in need of needed reinforcements in quite a few places…I hope FSG can do something by the end of the next summer window…I don’t think they are gonna get another coutinho level windfall ever again…
It would not surprise me in the slightest if we sold Alisson in the summer. He is a brilliant goalie, even if he hasn’t hit the heights yet since coming back from injury. But he does miss a lot of action, and there is a possibility it is starting to knock a couple of percent off his level.
He is world class and I’m not going overboard with it, but Mamardashvili is up there too, and probably the best in the world out of the emerging generation of goalkeepers. Older gunslingers like Alisson still might get the nod, just, but I would not be surprised if a stint in Saudi Arabia, to top off the pension, is on the cards for Alisson before he goes back to Brazil. One to watch.
Is physicality the issue as much as his lack of pace though? I always thought he was rather strong, but just not as fast as others.
