Post match: Frankfurt v Liverpool (UCL 22/10/25 8pm)

Noticed Wirtz had an extra “pep in his step,” after his assists. A good sign!

Just hope that Frimpong’s injury is not serious.

Edit: My Ren and Stimpy gif was removed by Mod (which was how I felt exactly at that very moment)…so it will just be text:

I thought Ibou was a rest?

Hopefully the rest aren’t the worst layoffs

Good win.
Our midfield was great, some errors to begin with but once they got it together just WoW. That’s our midfield. Unfortunately I’m sure Slot won’t agree.

How Gakpo stays on and Salah gets on I don’t know.

Isak a waste of money and space.

Chiesa needs more match time.

However that was refreshing and Slot needs to take note. We had 3 midfielders on today who worked things out together and dominated. That’s character and that’s what we need. I’m really pleased to see Szoboszlai play at the level he was when he joined us, let’s not see him out of position anymore.

Not sure. Let’s hope that’s all it was.

Yeah, Jones, Dom, Flo until Gravenberch is fit.
Gakpo, Ekitike, Chiesa should be the front three.
Expect Kerkez back for Brentford.

Hard to judge Bradley as he wasn’t really tested, but he did what he had to.

Slot just reveals that Isak felt his groin a bit at halftime

I think in a way, with Grav and Macca out of the lineup. Dom’s leadership qualities took over and brought out that performance.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Looks like we’re back to Hugo leading the line with Gapko and Salah this weekend.

I don’t like how Mo stropped off at full time

Based on what?

Ah fuckin hell. I hope he’s not hurt. Those groin injuries can be a bother all season.

I won’t assume the worst about Mo’s attitude. He’s carried himself like a professional throughout his tenure here. I’m more inclined to believe he was upset with himself for not scoring.

But if it was truly annoyance at not starting or not getting subbed on sooner, than Mo needs to look in the mirror and ask himself why the club looked so much more threatening with him on the bench.
