Post Match: Fulham v Liverpool (EPL 13/12/20 4.30pm)

Well the positives from this is that we managed to get 1 point more than we deserved. Jones was good. He is looking far more composed than his age and experience would suggest. Alisson did OK in goal and Hendo remained effective playing out of position.

Overall we looked tired. It’s really not a good start to the week.

How many times have we said that already this season?

Yes, we have loads of injuries and the officials (usually) do their best to screw us over, but we have been so wasteful it’s getting worrying.

It’s been a while since our front 3 got a brace. Bobby still looks out of touch from last season and Mane/Salah aren’t firing on all cylinders. A win against Spurs will kick start our road to Premiership glory…

Agree. The injuries have a way of taking their toll—not just physically, but mentally too. It’s going to be a slog all season.

Fortunately Spurs look exhausted too. Of course, that suits their playing style more than ours.

Well, we were lucky to get a point today.

We need to improve - in our last 5 away league games we have zero wins. And from our visits against Villa, BHA and Fulham we managed to gain 2 points…

Awful first 45 minutes, we improved a little bit in the 2nd half, but still were slow and predictable.

Overall Jones was our best midfielder, which is not a good sign for Hendo and Gini. Curtis is developing very well and is exceeding expectations at the moment.

The front three were annonymous. It is a pity that Jota is out for such a long time, but in his case Klopp must answer the question why he played both Diogo and Mo for almost 90 minutes in a game without much football sense in it.

Keita is injured again and I am already sure that it is time to say goodbye to him, good player, but he can’t stay fit and in the long run he is absolutely unreliable. Somehow he is always fir for Guinea, but not for Liverpool.

Tiago is another transfer that did not excite me and the reason for that was clear - he is a very good player, but injury prone. 25 mln. pounds and huge wages and he will miss at least half of the season. And we signed him, while we needed a central fuckin defender. Now looks like Matip is injured again and we have 0 fit central defenders and some journos try to persuade us that we don’t need central defender in January.

AOC is back, but lets’ hope that he stays fit for at least a month, we need bodies at this moment.

Neco Williams did well and I can’t understand why the boy did not start form the first minute. Trent is a great talent, but he obviously is off form. He did not have a proper preseason /again injured/ then he missed almost 40 days because of calf injury and now Klopp played him to death for almost 160 minutes in 4 days.

Playing Hendo as a central defender is not a good decision in the long run, we need our captain in midfield. Signing a center back in January must be priority for the club.

Still a good point for us as Fulham were the better team overall. Scoring late goals is also good for the confidence of the squad, but wee need to do much, much better. And the players must respect the opposition, because if you are not `100% from the first minute in the league, you are going to suffer a lot.

Well for once I think we definitely got the benefit of VAR tonight…for me two penalty decisions that could have gone either way.

Still 2nd. .and let’s put Spurs to the sword.

Just a couple of months out then.

Thank God for that, I thought it would be another 2 months out.

Guinea play him even when he isn’t fit, and that just makes things worse.

I only started following Liverpool in August 2019.

Shaq is so unlucky. He would have got us through the line in these kind of games with his passes and free kicks. It’s idle time for him to get lot of game time. No point in him coming back when we have Thiago/Ox/Keita/Jota fit as he would be just warming the bench…Guys any idea as to when he is back?

Lines like that makes you wonder Keita is at fault for purposely getting injured for Liverpool. He doesn’t want to be here, but is forced to play for us and hence the constant injuries.

Cheap shots are so fun

And in which parallel universe is that going to happen?

Huh? One for the Keïta thread, but from where do you get that idea?

I am beginning to lose patience with Keita. How many seasons has he been with us now?
I can’t remember a game where he played full 90 minutes and then not available for the next game.

I guess it’s a wait and see with the injuries, Milner can’t be far considering his was a hamstring.

The rest who knows about Shaq and Thiago well next year apparently.
