Post match: Inter v Liverpool (UCL 9/12/25 8pm)

I guess they’re being picking nits and drawing a distinction between EC and CL matches??

But he retired before the name change!!!

I don’t fucking know!!!

Robbo should get there en route to this season’s final.

Andrew Henry Robertson is the best Henry to have played the game.

Apparently, football didn’t exist before the Champions League and the Premier League, so Kenny’s stats don’t count.

He’s continually a yard behind the play and it’s becoming difficult to know when/how this will change.
I think Gravenberch could become a bigger problem he doesn’t seem to have the confidence to do the easy simple thing. Slows it up to much all the time. It’s amazing how he gets away with such criminal back passing and hiding behind opposition players.

… and I was thinking he showed some promise with at least 3 decent touches of the ball. Then again my expectations aren’t very high on this one at the moment. He did look more useful than Gakpo and Salah put together so not completely useless.

I am sure Trump would be a much better option. Just make peace so he goes away!

So your saying Konaté, Gakpo and Salah have just been unlucky so far and it will all sort itself out some day in the future?

The police don’t support Marseille. Just saying.

Unbeaten in four games. I’ll take that! :+1:

We played football and most of the time I had some clue to what we were trying to do.
That is massive progress I assure you.

Counts as an assist, as far as I’m concerned.

I always remember that, prior to the PL, the cut-off was “post-war” as if football was invented in 1946. I can remember a commentator describing Lineker’s (remarkable) season at Everton as being a “record” for an Everton striker, somewhat forgetting some chap called Dixie Dean.

I actually think Grav has played better the last 2 games, it’s asxthough he has decided to be a bit more dynamic with how he receives ball and beats the press in his trademark move.

Now just needs to work on his passing.

Remember those days it was a knockout competition so therefore far less games played

So if anything, pre-CL appearances are worth more?

I always thought re-branding it as the “Champions League” was a bit of a cheek. It wasn’t a league and you no longer had to be champions to participate.

Definitely last night he managed to show some of the things we saw when Slot arrived. Even so he’s lost a lot of confidence, possibly from being overplayed, he needs encouragement imo. 60 to 70 minutes rather than 110 with a lot of praise for what he does well would be my thinking. Not going to happen though. ( Something I brought up last season btw and seems I was correct!).

Deflections, win the 1st header on set pices and seems to always drop to the opposition, get a foot in but it bobbles back to the player, opposition outscoring their XG
