Post match: Leeds v Liverpool (EPL 17/4/23 8pm)

Obviously Trent was the man of the match, but Curtis Jones was right up there. Got a massive hug off Klopp at the end which was just reward for a really impressive games. Coming into form just in time to persuade Klopp not to buy a midfielder

Very good performance, patient first half hour then bang bang bang bang bang bang. I was impressed with the closing down tonight. A few moaning about Jota and Jones starting but both done very well. Onwards and upwards.:clap:

Trent Motm and Jones second, two of our players who were performing whilst the game was tricky before Leeds did their thing.

Nice for the forwards to get a bit of confidence, and to see Diaz back.

That Curtis lad is decent :innocent:

Nah. Heā€™s only in the squad to fill out the homegrown quota.

we are very good in transition , we know this we proved it against manure and many other teams so today we did what we do well and leeds are a shambles of a team defensively of all the goals we scored Nunez goal is what we need more not transition ( which many team do not allow us ) but a goal from build up great pass and the right type of run your need from your number 9 . Glad with 3 points but am not calling this a turning point we have been here before

im his biggest critic, but the kid had a heck of a game

Hope you didnā€™t wake the family

Trent,Jones, outstanding tonight. Good to see Diaz get a few minutes.
Disappointed for Ali not getting his clean sheet but good game nevertheless.

First half was patience. Leeds set up deep, with two lines of four. We allowed them only pot shots from far at goal.

Trent continued in field with Konate coming wide right to defend. We pressed aggressively when the ball was in midfield, rather than pressing from the front. Allowed us to be more controlled out of possession.

New handball rules, putting Trent as accidental so move continues, well worked form that point to a tap in at the far post from Cody. Second from Mo, with a run from right to left, then taking the shot first time.

Second half Leeds came out with desire, and we started our typical lethargic opening of late, with a mistake form Ibou gifting Leeds a potential way back in.

We woke up again after that, and never looked back. Curtis lasted 90 minutes, and came that ability from midfield to carry the ball. Jota misplacing passes wide left, but finally getting some luck and getting two goals.

Six goals, nice away win. Need to carry on.

Finally, a match where the opponent was not given any time on the ball, was closed down immediately.

Thought TAA made hands but the goal was for all the fouls on Salah that were not given during the season.

Salah Man of the Match, thought he was excellent tonight.

7 is a curse, 6 has generally been ok for us.

First ever full season following them we beat Palace 6-1 always liked that score.

Yeh, Everton survive the drop again.

Probably because it was against our worst opposition so far.

Klopp was almost talking the piss bringing on Diaz, Darwin, Bobby, Thiagoā€¦.and of course Milner when up by 5.

My votes in order went to Trent, the Jones boy and then Cody. Iā€™ve been a bit meh about Cody but he offered a lot tonight.

Keeps interest to end the season on a winning streak.

Trent in whatever role he played was excellent, Jones was good. The starting strikers played well and Nunez finished well and was onside.

Didnā€™t let a lot of time on the ball and swarmed around them.

They really are in the shit mind, twice at home, 5-1 and 6-1, also we soaked up the pressure well in that first 30 that youā€™d expect from the home team put to prove a point.
