Yeah I walked away thinking I’m not going blame the lads after that, they showed a lot of desire that first half and without this Super League I think Leeds would have lost faith after Alisson had saved a shot for the 10th time.
Thing is it’s going happen every game, any fan wishing to protest needs to support the players and the manager it’s what Jürgen said at least we have that opportunity at home, tell any blue noses who show up to fuck off (Let’s face it, their owners would enrol in a shot).
Wouldn’t surprise me if anyone this side of the Atlantic had a clue.
I think they thought the players would be for it, that’s the problem, only about 250 pros get to enjoy it, the rest don’t, and who is tell which 250 that is.
Fabinho made a big error every 10 minutes from start to finish, we suffered evrytime they played high and long. Our midfield didn’t cover our CBs and we still have Firmino in the most important position at defensive corners (which cost us dearly in the end).
I can not for the life of me understand why Fabinho plays at CB when we have Rhys and Ben on the bench. We need a specialist deep lying midfielder, Gini was mainly in that position last night yet never took up a shielding position the whole game letting Bamford look decent on many occassions.
For me Klopp and his coaching team have made too many mistakes this season, refusing to see which players can and deserve to play in which position. Still i think Firmino had a decent 1st half second half he should have been ousted early on.
We need at least 1 defensive player who can head competently and last night we didn’t have anyone to do that. Why didn’t Salah start? Yet Mané did?
Why wasn’t Fabhino in midfield?
Why can’t we score more than the opposition?
Maybe if Klopp resigns, or gets relieved of his duties - both of which are possibilities - a few on here can throw their hats into the ring?
You’ll just need to show your coaching badges lads.

Shame Nat had a minor hamstring injury. Needed him in those last few minutes.
Game obviously overshadowed by external events.

Didn’t have chance to post last night as I was straight off to bed after full time. Two thoughts about the match: we looked exhausted at the end and I think that played a big part in conceding. Secondly, we are not as effective with Fabinho at CB. He is a superb defensive midfielder but a middling defender - not bad by any estimation but he is wasted when filling in there.
At the moment, I’m thinking that a season of rebuilding and Europa League football wouldn’t be a bad thing. Unfortunately, that currently appears to be off the table.

Why are we giving the team the Super League excuse. We should of won this regardless. We had the chances to win.
Wasn’t right time to rest Salah against a leeds team that beat City. Should of started instead of Firmino.
Should of made timely subs in midfield. As they looked tired in 2nd half…
What’s the point in Signing Ben Davies
We needed an insurance goal to protect ourselves against late game mistakes and VAR… This team should know that by now.

Thanks @Steve_LFC, I could not agree more. I just rewatched the match start to finish and I’m even more annoyed. This was a very winnable match, and winning “going away” as the Americans like to say, and the boys simply gave it away. ESL is yet another excuse and I’m over it. I get it…tired, weary, worn down, pandemic, whatever. Everyone plays through shit. Every club has challenges and obstacles.
Our boys have been wildly inconsistent for months, starting with the coaching staff on down through the players, yet we always drum up an excuse for them. They just aren’t a great side as presently constructed, including tactics, and that’s the bottom line. As said previously, our club are in serious need of a reboot and refresh.
ESL is a hollow excuse for playing poorly last night and after watching it again it’s even more maddening.

Exactly… We are PL Champions. We still have the talent… Stop the excuses and give it their all. And go for Top 4. Its now harder but not impossible.

We should have won it. We dropped our intensity in the second half and couldn’t even keep the ball. Just put your foot on the ball and calm the place down and have a go or two. Instead we let them bombard us with chances. No wonder one went in.

OX is on my for sale list…Maybe we are showcasing him.
Rather have H. Elliot taking his minutes next season

Showcasing… I’d rather they send a tape around of his performances before his injury, we might get more for him then.

I have to say I like how Leeds play football. Maybe my mind was much more on the ESL malarkey during the game. Thank fuck that’s over!! I wouldn’t mind us having a punt for a couple of the Leeds lads
I’ve been telling bluenoses to fuck off for years and I’m not going to stop now.
