Post match: Leeds v Liverpool (EPL 19/4/21 8pm)

Neither Bobby nor Gini deserve to start for this team anymore. Passengers and milking it. Bobby is flat out abysmal. His movement and awareness in the box is almost laughable. Runs himself straight into the goal mouth like a youth player. I love the man but he either has lost his love for the game, his skills have fallen off a cliff, or a combination of the two.

Pacing round the house not sure whether to kick the metaphorical cat, open the whisky, go for a run or scream at the moon. What an absolute shit show of a day and evening.

With the other shit going on I’m not inclined to blame Klopp or the players for this.
It is a game we would have expected to win if only to keep us in the running for top 4.
But for some reason after supporting the club for 65 years,I didn’t feel much.
Maybe time for the trick cyclists couch!

Numb? Know the feeling.

My memory is pretty fucked - especially going back that far, but wasn’t one of the proposed ideas of the P/L to be closed off and totally seperate from the rest of the football pyramid?

Only when they got the FA to sit down and chat they dropped their more ridiculous demands

Jurgen should take a huge amount of responsibility if we don’t make top 4, purely on his insistence on playing and not subbing non performing players, namely Firmino and Gini, and to a lesser extent Mane. It’s fine when it’s 1 or 2 games in a row, but choosing players that have had a dreadful year, game after game, just on reputation, is ridiculous. We have lost at least 10 points due to this, and probably another 10 due to the amount of injuries in key positions.

To be fair, Gini and Firmino had a good first half, but the second half was back to their current form, just horrible. The Gini situation will most likely solve itself due to his contract, however the Firmino situation is a major concern, the guy can do nothing wrong in Jurgen’s eyes, just baffling. I think it’s a sensitive point for Jurgen, all you have to says is Firmino is not playing well, and he will side track on how much he brings to the team other than goal scoring, blah blah blah. Yes, 99% of us know that, yet we can also see when he does none of the above.

Kabak looking like a bargain at £20m, assuming we go ahead with the option to buy. Joe will need the next season just to recover and regain form, and hopefully VVD will hit the ground running.

played well first half, lucky to get a way with a point with the performance second half.

really didn’t give a shit watching it though, hope the rats in boston choke on their caviar.

I don’t know man…Is Ben Davies so bad that he is worse than Nat Phillips in handling Patrick Bamford and co.? Was there really a need for Fabinho to drop to the midfield? I don’t know man…Everyone here has been banging on the table that Fabinho is best suited intercepting from the front and protecting the backline but why does Klopp drops him back is a mystery to be solved.

The fact that we’ve yet to see Davies play is a bit baffling to me. Why sign him but never play him?

Don’t tell me that on current ability, Ben Davies is inferior to either Rhys Williams or Nat Phillips???

Be honest the weak link in the defence today was Fabinho, he had a poor game positionally and a few dodgy passes

Posted similar thought after RM. Lost in all the current ESL drama and Jürgen’s personal loss a few months back, I personally don’t think he’s been very good this year, on several professional levels. No doubt he will regroup and reassess this summer, he knows he can be better. We are all behind him.

Said the same myself watching the game. I remember Andy breaking into the box but basically straight towards the touch line and not on goal and Bobby’s run when the ball came in was inexplicably way beyond the far post. So much so that even if the ball somehow reached him, which would have been impossible, he would never have been able to get a finish in. I mean, wtf. He basically took himself completely out the reckoning.

Not saying that he is blameless but he really hasn’t had many alternatives to turn to. Bar Jota and Jones none of the bench players have made a strong case that they should be starting.

The fact that he didn’t bring on anyone to bolster the midfield when his starters were clearly struggling it’s a clear indication that right now he doesn’t trust them enough.

That’s part of the problem. Since returning from injury, Jota should not have been the “bench player”. It should have been Bobby.

Cliche but that was a game of two half’s.
We turned up for one and didn’t for the other.
We can’t hold out when under pressure without our 3 best CBs.
Thought Fabinho and Kobak did well but were a little sloppy especially in 2nd half.
Attacking was pathetic 2nd half. Not sure how gini and firmino get 90 playing like that.
Ox showed why he can go when he came on.
Sums up our season. Great for parts and shit for others.
West Ham drop points and we can’t take advantage. Been doing this all season.
We aren’t getting top 4. Time to face facts.

Full respect to Klopp that he acknowledges that West Ham deserve to be where they are.
Re super league it’s pure greed. Proved when the players found out the same day we did.
I don’t the see point of a league where you can’t go down and a rewarded every year for failure. It’s utterly pointless.

Nope your not the only one. With all the outside distractions and our piss poor performances this year, I’ve lost interest in football at the moment.

Played o.k. first half but overall a draw was a fair result. Sadly the whole atmosphere was spoiled by the talk of this new league.

PL only got off the ground because of the FA, I recommend “The club” by Joshua Robinson and Jonathan Clegg, effectively the FA didn’t like the EFL monopoly so fully backed the PL, I don’t think the PL was ever designed to be a closed shop but was designed to be 18 teams.

This pisses me off…

“However, preparations for Monday night’s trip to Elland Road were undoubtedly affected. Klopp had to spend part of the day preparing for how he was going to handle the inevitable barrage of questions from the media in the absence of anyone from FSG fronting up.”

Really showed as tactically 2nd half we looked like we hadn’t done our homework.
