Post match: Leeds v Liverpool (EPL 19/4/21 8pm)

Klopp has a point here. I thought Gary Neville had turned a corner, but who am I kidding.

@ILLOK , thanks for the deciphering the comments.

I don’t like the closed shop nature of the competition, but let’s not pretend that wasn’t coming anyway. UEFA had already accommodated similar in their revamp of the CL.

The issue here is a battle over TV money.

Not really, but he said that Sky was part of a breakaway project at the time, supported by the five most powerful clubs at the time (Everton being one of them ). So he asked if they were hypocrites to be worked up that way.

"I don’t think it is right. They put them in our dressing room, I don’t think we deserved that. I don’t like the way a lot of people are talking about Liverpool."This is a fantastic football club. In this specific moment we can’t blame the team for that. I take the criticism for everything, but this we have nothing to do with.“Don’t forget we have nothing to do with it. We still have to play football. It is really not OK. Our owners are great people, they will try to explain the decisions. Will I understand it? I don’t know, but it is still not my decision”. KLOPP

cunt move by leeds that.

Draw about right in the end because Leeds ended the game strongly but we should have been out of sight before then. We were always going to get a lot of chances against Leeds but the finishing is embarrassing.

Subs were terrible and killed any chance we had. JK got it badly wrong there. We missed Fabinho in the midfield and Phillips in the air. We have no aerial presence at all without him and it was no surprise that the goal came from a set piece.

Anyway, it probably didn’t matter. I think we all need to get used to many more meaningless games in the future.

damn… klopp really say that!

The passion of Carra and Neville as fans is palpable. I get the issues with Sky but they aren’t just defending their employers here. They believe what they’re saying

Which means that they haven’t explained it to him yet. That is a disgrace, whatever the way you look at it.

very good first half , but as per the last 10 games we are wasteful. 2nd half was poor (stating the obvious) , probably am the only one who thinks this i thought fabinho back in defence is not great and i still think that kieta is a great player that needs a run of games to shine .
finally if there is no champion league qualification i think the premier league losses its meaning and i hope this will not lead to klopp moving on

We should of finished the game first half but that’s how our season is going. Allison saved us a point tonight. Subs did nothing.

The irony of Leeds United players telling our lads they need to ‘earn it’. Fucking no-marks, hope they do a Sheffield United.

Is there something that doesn’t allow them to shoot and that they have to try and find a fellow team mate in an awkward position?

It’s just I see it about 10 times in every game I’ve watched.

But they will shoot when they have absolutely no chance of scoring.

it might be something to do with training. perhaps we only do shooting practice when we have the free kick practice defensive wall things out… we are so used to hitting those that we believe that is how to score a goal. IF the player doesn’t have one of the opposition stood in front of him… he passes to the team mate that does. possibly?

Possibly just seems very odd, I think Jota is the one who doesn’t do it as much, he did it tonight but I think against Villa he would shoot on sight.

Annoying. Should have been out of sight by half time. Strikers so wasteful. Again.
