Playing really well. Cruising to an easy 2-0 victory. Then Konate does his standard brain fuck. Then we have our standard meltdown, with a brief relief from our stalwart Szobo.
Slot didn’t help with his subs, but his biggest mistake is sticking by Konate

Konate is, in a way, the player of the match 
Prioritising signing Isak over a CB continues to stand out as a shocking decision, especially with Ekitike being bought and Quansah sold.
The attack looks a lot better with Salah out, shame about the way it’s ending for him but time comes for us all. Need a left sided player to take Gakpos place. Play Gomez at CB and let Konate sit on the bench for a while - light a fire under his arse.
Three games unbeaten, things are improving. The issue areas seem very clear and I’m sure will be addressed in Jan with hopefully the addition of Semenyo and Guehi.
Season ain’t over, still got two cups and given it’s currently arsenal in first a long shot at the league if we fix up.

Can’t say that for Kerkez, Dom or Ekitike today. All 3 put themselves about and battled for the points. Let down by those around them.

I am going to stand up for Slot a little bit, how can you be effective in your set up, when we keeping giving up goals through individual mistakes and stupidity.
Those goals that happen through our stupidity really affect a teams belief.

Thought I’d avoid the Match Thread and wait until the end of the game.
Nothing surprises me with this team anymore. We should beat Leeds when they come to Anfield in a few weeks, but make no mistake, far better sides will tear us apart. We’ve seen in the form in the last few months, good and decent sides beat us. Now we’re struggling to get results against poor sides i.e. Leeds. As soon as they got going, we struggled. First half and start of the second half, we were in control, as Leeds were technically garbage. Once they got their act together, we started to falter.
