you all must understand how frustrating it is for someone like me who works in OD/change management. You know what the problem areas are, hell you even shout them out to the whole world but still months in you have not fixed those same problems. really does my head in
So much for being one deflection away from 2 clean sheets.
Laughable game management to drop back and invite wave after wave of attack when we can’t defend.
We are the softest team in the league and we got what we deserved.
3-3 is a fair result for the game but not at all good enough for our club. We played well in patches, but so did Leeds.
This is not good enough. Far from good enough. Subs terrible killers and the mentality is akin to snow in early may; fragile.
Something must change. We have now drawn twice against newcomers in the league. It is getting shameful. This isn’t one offs, the trend is diabolical.
I really don’t know what to make of that.
I thought we played really well right up to the point where Konate makes an absolutely fucking brainless challenge. Then we disintegrate.
Somehow we get ourselves ahead again, and it should be easy enough to see it out, but a set piece fucks us again.
These boys are not mentally right. Piss and moan about Slot all you want. You might have a point. He might need to go.
But they are not fucking right in the head, and I don’t know how that changes.
I voted Etikike but I get you ![]()
snatching a draw from the jaws of victory
It’s not even a laugh. It’s fucking true. I even went through, the results.
The only upside is that Liverpool also lose when we have our games rained off.
Just lost for words. This is just a revolving shit show. We are not fixing the problems and don’t look like becoming a solid team anytime soon…
The only reason for not replacing Slot is the availability of a coach that can fix this… going to be a long season
If I remember well, Eiland Road has always been a tough place for us to go. I’ll take that result, as disappointing it is, as a sign that we are slowly recovering, although still very weak , for instance on defending set pieces.
The fist half was very good imo, apart from the fact that the players didn’t reward themselves with goals. Then, second half, two quick goals from our young genius. We were on track for three comprehensive points, just like so many times last season. Then, we get under a bit of pressure, and Konaté cracks up again. All the rest comes from there: the nervosity, other stupid errors… it’s all in the mind. The players thought they had found back their mojo, but one individual mistake is enough to let the doubts creep in again.
3-3. Far from a tragedy. Let’s see how the team comes back from that before condemning the whole thing. There are clear signs of recovery in my book.
First half, we controlled possession and went close from both Curtis and VVD. Leeds resorted mainly to long balls but VVD and Konate were comfortable and dominant in the air.
Hugo came alive in the second with two quick goals. Leeds then started to hold on to the ball more and started to play. Three fresh legs for them, and Slot responded with putting on Alexis and Gomez.
But we were still in total control until Konate slid in early giving Gnonto time to calculate how to make contact, and he did it well by planting his left foot down and allowing the ball to roll on.
The Leeds second goal was abysmal from our point. Had plenty of players to try to engage before the shot came in.
An excellent team move for our third, with Alexis superbly stepping over the ball, allowing Dom to side foot his finish.
Slot responding by putting on Endo and Isak. 93rd minute, we had a corner and, as I pointed out in the in match thread, it was perplexing that we played it short to run the clock down. Still had a full 7 minutes of time after that. Moreso in that VVD came close twice through corners.
Lo and behold, Leeds get a couple of corners and get their reward. Tanaka at the back post gets a little lucky with the bounce on his shot taking it out of reach of Alison.
A game we really needed to win. Set piece defending is a real issue. Heads dropping after conceding another.
At least Ekitike got a decent ball for the 1st goal.
Bye Slot.
Can any of them play on the left wing?
Just don’t mention it again just annoys me now because it’s obviously right.
this!!!
Embarrassing. Out of his depth. Bye v
I’m not even going to blame Slot for that capitulation but his team has become a fucking laughing stock and embarassment.
There is no point prolonging it any more, he should be sacked.
i remember the good old days when klopps teams were said to be too open
I’ll tell you what. I won’t post anything, and next weekend after the Liverpool game, you can tell me whether my u11s won or lost from the available evidence in the Liverpool game.
You won’t be wrong.
That’s a succession of single line posts from you basically saying the same thing. I get you’re annoyed, but maybe expand your thoughts a bit?
