All changed wirh that thick prick konates pointless challenge
its bought up in conversation the Quansah situation from last season a few times now, unfortunately for Slot, the at call, which was correct at the time has made a bit of a rod for his back.
he could now turn to Gomez though, but up to this point, he had no other cards to play.
It was John Motson who said “2-0 is not always a good score line “. Everyone laughed at him back then but boy, have we proved him right this season.
Daniel Farke asked if he thought Liverpool were vulnerable from set-pieces: “I was always confident.”
I don’t understand how you can bench Salah for three games in a row, but still keep starting gakpo every game. It was obvious that after sunderland gakpo needs to be benched.
I am not convinced that without having a replacement for Slot he should be sacked, but this kind of form is not acceptable, and he definitely does not seem to be someone who learns from his mistakes. Currently picking players does not seem to be meritocratic at all, which is a sign for me that he is not the person to lead us forward.
every team now plays for set pieces against us…
Slot told him and everyone else we were, weeks ago!!
We’ve all been trying to work out that the problem is and I cant escape it being continuity or a lack of. We’ve changed way too much, but principally our intensity of play, and its fkd us. Paisley didnt change the boot room, nor did Fagan, Moran, then Dalglish.
We should be playing in a style thats suitable and recognisable to what has made us successful for the last 10yrs. It’s not hard to work out whom are likely the culprits, but this is what you get when business people run a football club, and have access to textbooks. The arrogant fools to think they could just reinvent a new style of play for us. Whereas now we have precisely no style of play. Some twats changed too much, so what they smoking over there, cos the team is about as active as a heavy Fri night toke.
I totally agree, apart from Slot picking him, I give Slot a break because you can’t coach stupidity.
I am gutted for Ibou, because he was having a very good game defensively then one brain fart and he then goes to pieces.
He needs some help from Eileen Drury.
From “Mentality Monsters” under Klopp… to pickled onion Monster Munch under Slot.
In the current climate of dire form, and 2-0 being a risky scoreline, maybe making substitutes with a big element thinking about the Inter match, ultimately threw our original game plan off and there was no way back after our momentum went tits up.
Captain hindsight, would have kept his powder dry until we scored a third… as it is, we have dropped two points, and our self belief is back in the gutter before our trip to Italy..
Shit happens though.
Mmmmm

gameplan against us is pretty standard. be aggressive on the press, pump the ball forward and hope for 2nd balls and get as many set pieces as possible.you do this, law of averages says you will get a goal or two against us everytime
I’ve just finished watching the second half on catch-up as I had to pick up my wife from the hospital at half time.
So that was… eventful.
I’d hoped that this was going to be a solid win, until we made substitutions.
I’m at a loss as to quite what our problems are, but I still think there were positives. Szoboszlai, Ekitiké, Jones and Wirtz all looked good. It was really when it got to the defense that things fell apart, and the late defensive substitutions just seemed to compound that.
What’s next? Inter? Could be comic relief.

FT: Leeds 3-3 Liverpool
No player has been directly involved in more goals for Liverpool in all competitions this season than Dominik Szoboszlai (nine – four goals, five assists).
**Arne Slot: **
“It’s not for the first time that I see us doing many things well this season without the result… combining the result with the performance… I can take a lot of positives from this game. If we would have won it 3-2 or with 2-0, I think we we would all said, ‘controlled performance, dominant against a very difficult team.’ Chelsea experienced it, City experienced it. The second half they changed their playing style to long ball. They didn’t do this before. So it has shown how difficult it is to play against that style. We know this for a long time because teams do this against us already for 14 games. I think we are improving, individuals are improving, performances are improving…”… so what were your adjustments when Farke made his, sir? yes teams do this because they are getting a LOT of success from doing the same thing over and over again and you have no answer for it
Macca was way off it when he came on, just before their goal, he was played around way too easy, he just seems a shadow of the player.
His best touch wasn’t a touch!
Mohamed Salah:
“I had a good relationship with the manager. All of a sudden we don’t have any relationship. I don’t know why. It seems to me that someone doesn’t want me in the club.” fucken hell
Where is this from?
**Mohamed Salah: **
“We will see what happens. In my head I will enjoy the game, does not matter if I play or not, I will enjoy it. We will see what will happen. It’s at Anfield, say goodbye to the fans, go to AFCON, because I don’t know what will happen when I’m there…”
