Read my posts, you haven’t described me, go pick on someone else!
How the fuck does a loanee that has had maybe up to 3 full training sessions get infront of a lad who has been with us all fucking season? Time to wake up laddie!
We need some no nonsense stuff, old and fashion is what we need.
As for missing games as a loanee now there’s something that’s ‘normal’, i wish we could get some normality back.
All our lads are fucking shit we haven’t a clue or a chance, well until Klopp sorts it all out again.
It appears that the Ox has replaced Lovren as the fans whipping boy, whenever something goes wrong. However, I was confused by the substitution because we were 1-0 up and controlling the game at the time. I would’ve taken one of the three forwards off and beefed up the midfield, to protect the lead for 20 minutes. But it wasn’t the Ox who gave away the free kick leading to their first goal and it wasn’t the Ox who collided with Kabak, for the second.
Absolutely they were panic buys but given the state of everything at the moment it’s no surprise.
Too early to say one way or another yet but the problem is we have no time. It seems Klopps logic of the problems associated with January buys is true.
Yeah I’d agree the problems stem from the back. I think we’ve, well certainly I have been blinded by the quality we still have in midfield in particular and thinking that area is solid. It isn’t, the balance is way off and that’s affecting the front line as well.
Solutions? Other than taking a chance on using the CB’s we have and getting Henderson back into midfield along with Fabinho when fit I’m honestly stumped. That still doesn’t address the problems up front but it could be a start. The whole thing carries risk as well, particularly when we are so reliant on the full backs. Being soft in central defense probably doesn’t help them.
Not much to add to what has already been said, but the capitulation and fragility is an ongoing concern, losing 3 goals in 7 odd minutes is unacceptable.
The team have been riding a wave for 3 seasons and fell for the hype which is fully deserved, they have been brilliant, but nothing we did in the past counts this season.
Ref this, ref that, VAR this, VAR that, bad officiating has always been there, its nothing new, using that as a reason to justify results/performances?
Not for me, I believe this squad is and should be stronger than that mentally, and is something I am hoping Klopp can address.
Keita and Jota couldn’t come back quick enough to be honest, both areas of the pitch are so stale and predictable the topic has been covered to death.
Relax, it wasn’t aimed at you, it was a general observation. Your indignation however at starting Kabak over Phillips is weird to say the least.
They react to people betting thus if they see a flurry of bets they lower the odds.
That’s Twitter for you it’s done the market in.
So beating first man outweighs end product. Mane has 4 goals in 18 games and no assists its no good beating first man then doing nothing with it.
In reality if any of the midfield was to come off it should have been Thiago but you were never getting a sub subbed off.
Nobody disputes that we’ve been poor in the main for nearly a year.
The centre back situation was foreseeable. For two years VVD was ever present and it took three injury prone centre backs (Lovren, Matip and Gomez) to deliver the required number of appearances alongside him. It was only going to take an injury to VVD to seriously affect us, as no way were the other centre backs going to remain injury free enough to deliver the appearances required across two centre back positions when they could barely deliver the appearances required alongside VVD between the three of them. Selling Lovren just made that worse.
Jota has been a big loss. Goals dried up after his injury, Palace aside.
Too many players are injury prone, and over playing those who aren’t has knackered them.
The title was always a big ask over a long season in light of the above, but in a tough league in which even top sides often only win by a goal, the refereeing has denied us perhaps 10 to 12 points, which would have us right in the title race.
Everton away, Newcastle away, WBA at home, Brighton away and yesterday, points dropped through VAR chalking off goals for us, no different to those that have been allowed for other teams, penalties given to opponents that weren’t given to us, or other incidents where we have been treated differently.
We shouldn’t have to win by three goals each match because officials always give an opponent a goal or two.
I know it ridiculous that Kabak, who is only 20 years old, has 7 international caps for Turkey, and has around 60 1st team appearances for Galatasary, Stuttgart and Hamburg, got in the team before Nat phillips!
Salah is the only one that scores goals, make sure he can’t, defend deep and score yourself on the break is the succes recipe for our opposing managers.
How is it possible that from all our midfielders only Wijnaldum (2) and Henderson (1) scored a goal in the PL? Not scoring midfielder is a big problem when Mané and Firmino don’t.There is zero backup in scoring from our midfield.
Thing is I don’t think we’ve been this poor for a whole year.
Personally to me it’s the injuries that have basically done it for us.
You are right that we shouldn’t need to win by three goals… This is just I guess my own philosophy. I always believed in that insurance goal to relieve any pressure. We supposedly have one of the best strike forces in the world. And given that mistakes can happen, corrupt officiating and just the fact of the injuries to our defensive line… It would of been prudent to score that extra goal.
Continuously crying about refereeing hasn’t changed anything or overturned any result. Not saying don’t complain about wrong doings. Not saying we haven’t lost points because of it…
But I’m stressing trying to take it in our own hands as much as possible. Its unfair. The league doesn’t want us as repeat champions. But we must go on.
Its unfortunate our forwards have been mostly out of form at the same time for long period of times. Probably mostly due to the domino effect of our injuries.
Just saying if we tucked away a few more goals with the chances we had. We could easily have another 9 points.
Its no secret how we play, Managers have been cooking that recepie or variants of it to try contain us, we were just too good or wore teams down until we broke through.
With all our creativity mostly on the flanks, we got away with a functional midfield to counter press and cover for the full backs.
This season however, injuries and loss of form on the flanks has unfortunately exposed the lack of creativity in the middle of the park.
Build up is too slow but try and play the same predictable patterns on the flanks where I think they spend too much time anyway; with Firmino playing too deep we literally have nothing in the box as Mane and Salah are wide by default so we have 0 runs from deep.
I disagree, and for what it’s worth, I think Klopp was seeing it my way as well.
How is having 3 centre backs out with season ending injuries foreseeable?
Sorry I didn’t read the rest of your post after that.
We’ve ended up, with this freak run of injuries, with our confidence now shot to bits.
Have you actually fucking watched our games this season?
