Just want to say what a difference a good referee makes. If we had him against Spurs, we’d be two points better off.
I wonder if AOC was dropped for Keita, will the result be vastly different?
Mane at 54:15. That was the chance. Just looked at it again and it hurts even more the second time viewing.
Mo had a chance from in close in the first half Schmeichel sticks out a glove and gets enough of it.
Football, bloody football.
“So often these boys gave me the opportunity to say ‘wow, what a game!’ - tonight it’s ‘wow!’ but in completely the other way. It didn’t look good. It didn’t look like us, and that’s obviously the one thing we have to think about and change immediately.”- Klopp
AOC was playing?
I thought Keita was fucking garbage.
Scmeichel wasn’t given man of the match for nothing, but we were still crap.
I thought Fab had a good first half. He made a lot of interceptions, so Leicester couldn’t break away. His sub seems planned to control playing time as he has just come back.
The Lookman goal was a rare occurrence where we didn’t defend well as a team, and TAA will know that he gave up too early. Apart from that, this game at worst should be 0-0.
Speaking of a yellow, a Diego Simeone team would’ve taken it to stop that goal.
Surely it’s nothing to do with covid? Klopp did say none of the positive players had any symptoms.
So a rested reds went up against a Leicester side apparently in their knees.
I love Klopp but don’t want to hear him taking about the schedule around Christmas again.
He is coming off sounding stupid and given those fucking bottle jobs on the pitch tonight an excuse for performances like that.
Joke
You’re right, I’m just bloody angry at the moment.
That was really tough to take. Mane had 2 chances on his stronger foot and fucked both up…If he takes even one of them, we could be getting 1 point or even 3 points.
For that, he ought to be dropped but since AFCON is coming anyway, his place will be taken by Firmino and/or Minamino which I hope takes this opportunity with both hands. Just by scoring or assisting one goal in every 3 games would probably earn that player a starting berth on LW.
Haha…he was so ineffective on LCM that he went missing. Tried to be Thiago but that is not his game…
Depressing result to a game that could have easily gone our way, had we taken our first half chances, but fizzled away to nothing with a post-goal Leicester rear guard. Not much else to say other than we were not at our best tonight. Disappointed, but optimistic that we can improve for the forthcoming fixtures.
But never looking like we would score
Well that was dreadful. I voted for Matip as the only one of our players to turn up. Leicester weren’t up to much aside from Schmeichel either but if we can’t hit open goals it’s just not going to happen. I can’t see January being any easier.
Totally agree. It’s not often than Jurgen gets it wrong when talking, but it’s bound to have a conscious or unconscious impact on the players when he’s constantly complaining about how impossible it is to play this many games.
I know there is sports science that’s way beyond me but surely these guys should be able to play twice a week no problem, and yes even twice in 3 days. Look at the tennis players playing for 3-4 hours for 2 or more days in a row
Yeah, was a good save. Just managed to get a thumb/fingertip to it which deflected it upwards.
The Mane miss reminds me of last season when Origi started and was one on one with Pope and hit the crossbar, when he could’ve done anything else with no one 10 yards of him. We went on to lose that game 1-0 as well.
Yip…Mo’s head deffo went after that.
