Post Match: Liverpool v Arsenal (EPL 9/4/23 4.30pm)

He apologised so everything is OK, :unamused:

He pulled his arm away…in completely the opposite direction to which you’d actually do that :man_shrugging:

I was approached by a young man who was talking to me with a raised voice. He grabbed my arm and I pulled mine away suddenly, so suddently I slipped. As I fell over my trousers accidentally got pulled down and when I tried to get to my feet I found my penis was inserted into his mouth.

I thank my wife for for her love and support during this difficult time. Thank you

I know that when I’ve accidentally elbowed someone in the throat in a way that could reasonably cause the end of my career if people thought it was purposeful or malicious, I make no attempt at reconciliation or even checking to see if the person is ok. Every time I have done it, and it’s happened 4 or 5 times now, I just continue to walk away while giving them a death glare, daring them to try me again. I find that is the best way to really convey the accidental nature of my actions.

Imagine my shock, or anyone’s for that matter.

FA don’t help themselves do they? I know they don’t care about making friends but what kind of message is this supposed to send out in particular to the ā€œthousands and thousands of the grassrootsā€

You have all these ref support wankers who like to hide behind the saying ā€œwithout referee’s there is no gameā€ but we can look those people dead in the eye and them tell that’s bullshit because the fans are the ones that make the game and the players are the ones who play the game.

Btw sooner or later that lino is going to get elbowed by some stupid kid and I’ll be sat laughing because this is the product of the FA…this is on them.

Fuck. Me.

Is that it?

ā€˜I didn’t mean to swing an elbow at him and then walk off glaring daggers at him. It’s was a total misunderstanding’.

Christ almighty.

i find the whole thing preposterous

im actually less shocked at the verdict to be honest, than at the gathering of the wagons from fellow football clubs and pundits.

Roy Keane, for example, to say what he said, after his career…hes a fucking parody now…he comes up on my insta feed from time to time and its the same pre rehersed shit…hes a fucking sell out relic.

guys…the Lino has elbowed a fellow pro…elbowed him…fucking elbowed him, if you dont believe he did, you can WATCH the footage…

for the record, Robbo definately is approaching the ref, but thats where my disbelief begins…the fact he walked over to the ref, maybe went a bit too far, somehow mitigates an elbow to the face…

what in the world…

to be honest, i think this is the moment i check out mentally of the premier league…the straw that broke the camels back so to say.

absolutely farcial, i dont see how the game comes back from this ridiculous tribal shite that is happening.

Can you? All the videos seem to have been copyright claimed.

I wonder who Alfie Haaland thinks is the bigger baby between Andy Robertson and Roy Keane.

And I despair at the reaction to the verdict. Loads of blaming Robbo for creating something out of nothing. Demanding he now gets Mitrovic’s 8 match ban. Always the victims

I know this is not new, but when did everything become so poisonous that fans revel in something that is bad for football just because a team they hate gets disrespected.

Fuck knows, but I think social media and ā€˜bantz’ culture has made it much worse.

The lino wasn’t penalised.
Wrong there.

Robbo’s approach was innocuous in comparison with some others. He didn’t get ā€œin his faceā€
Wrong there.

Yes I am wrong with the Lino, which I am gobsmacked with that and the FA is now condoning that reaction from the Lino by their inaction, the wrong message sent. However, Robbo did put his face close to the lino and in the old adage, invaded his personal space.

We will agree to disagree on Robbo’s approach
It was innocuous in my view, and certainly didn’t warrant a yellow card, let alone an elbow.

If that happened Kane the lino would flogged in front of a Wembley final.

Why did he apologise to Robbo if he didn’t do anything wrong?

Because he thought he was wrong until his corrupt bosses told him he wasn’t.
Shower of cunts

What we don’t know is the conversation between the 2 and how that has affected the outcome, but the pictures show that there was contact and with what has gone on in the Mitrovic case the message needs to be clear to both players and officials, but the FA’s Inaction has muddied the waters, it’s ok for one but not the other.

When coaching refs, the mantra was that if you swear at a player they have the right to swear back and the same should be for this situation. If a player can be found guilty, as in Mitrovic, then that should be the same in the reversal of the situation.

Because there was contact and it is the right thing to do, but it seems the authorities in their wisdom have believed it wasn’t intentional

I’m not sure I ever heard that on the ref course. Was always suggested to diffuse the situation if you were swore at was to treat it as amusing or try and show no malice even if you swore.

I’ve said get the fuck up at one guy.

If someone swung a fist I don’t think id have got back up and swung it back and I don’t think the FA would have been that happy about it.

Clearly Robertson should have go down when he felt the contact…
