I suppose that comes down to where you did it, I also used to take those on the course in the gym and go through a practical session in identifying challenges and thing players would do that are illegal, that most refs didn’t understand as they weren’t/aren’t players.

But if they do, it’ll probably go along the lines of “Oh, you’re fucking us over again, oh ok”

A positive 45 minutes of football is the only take from that match
That we are discussing an assault on a footballer by an official is staggering.
That is the kernel. Any arguing or attempted justification of that action is wrong.
The corruption is sadly evident in football.

I think it’s The Standard that has a video circulating with videos from three different angles.
It looks like Robbo touched him lightly with the back of his hand, then the lino swings the elbow. I just don’t know how he got away with it.
Robbo probably deserved a yellow card (did he get one?) for being in his face, just as the Arsenal players should have for our penalty.
Saying all that, I don’t know how Bruno got away with giving the lino a shove in the back in our game either.
They are making it up as they go along.

Evening out over the season - sort of….
I don’t agree it didn’t warrant a punishment, but if Robbo has accepted the apology we move on. Id like to think this will help us in the future with PMGOL and maybe we start to see a change in how some refs officiate us.

I’m wondering whether either Robbo or the club may have suggested this as they could do without both the aggravation or distraction.
God what has the game come to if teams are expecting a returned favour the next match …at the expense of that team’s opponent?
That’s the state of the officiating in this league, I’d hope as part of this whole circus we made a complaint about Tierney, we’ve sat on our hands for far too long.
100% the officials in this country are a bunch of egotistical little cowards, if we had made this really hard for the PMGOL you know catagorically we’d get even less than we do today. They had closed ranks and were going to protect their own.

Pretty sure that it’s not going to do anything as usual when it gets shafted by the FA.
I can’t imagine many clubs sitting idly by, meekly accepting whatever miscarriage of justice the FA carry out but we seem to excel at it.

The FA/PGMOL do this all the time. Ineffective, time limited crackdowns on problem behaviour that last no more than a week or two before everyone loses interest.
I will never forget ‘respect the ref week’ of 2008. Largely in response to Man Utd crowding and intimidating referees, the FA decided enough was enough and announced that they would take a stand against referee intimidation. In the following weekend’s game between Utd and Liverpool Javier Mascherano asked Steve Bennet why Torres was carded, and was immediately sent off. And that was the end of respect the ref week.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so incensed by a decision.
By the way, I’ve seen so many you tube videos of this incident and I still can’t see that Robbo touched him.

Robbo went in studs up in the lino and gave him the peoples elbow into his smug face. He then went Hanibal Lecter on him and took out a portable camping cooker to heat up his liver for a half time snack.
The whole thing is farcical, a fucking joke.
Dude, unless he has somehow learned how to defy the laws of physics, he has made contact with him. Not on this world is it possible to stand like Robbo is in the following screenshots and still keep his balance without making contact:
If you are saying you don’t think he man-handled him? Of course not. PGMOL are trying to create that narrative. But absolutely he contacted the lino. There is ample proof of that.
Did Robertson approach him, or did he go out of his way to confront Robertson?
