Post match: Liverpool v Aston Villa (EPL 9/11/24 8pm)

If Salah is able to make simple square passes with his right foot, we would have about 10 more chances per games.

No, he wouldn’t because his production and overall play have rightfully bought him a lot of leeway. If Salah was missing the amount of high profile chances that Nunez does, he too would be hearing a lot more about it.

He did. Just watch last game vs Brighton.

There are plenty of people who post more than me. We had this discussion in the Users thread. :+1:

That’s a good comment. Let’s enjoy it, it’s great to be in that position, but possibly, the real test for us will come iuf/when we are hit by an injury jinx.

I gave my Mom to Mo for his goal contributions, but also to Kelleher, who saved our collective asses with great saves at a moment when nothing was decided yet. He’s a brilliant goalie.

Otherwise, the game was great to watch. Two really good teams fighting it off in a good spirit. Not even Coote could spoil the day, although he tried: how on earth does he not give us a pen after two minutes when a guy clatters Nunez in the box, and how did he not send off the guy who brought down Salah on Nunez’ goal? These two non-decisions could have cost us the game on another day, but our lads found yet again the strength to keep their consistency together, and finally got the deserved breakthrough on typical ©Klopp counter-attacking moves. It was great to see.

Also, kudos to Bradley who had to come on and fit in seamlessly.

Is Mo’s wife comfortable with this donation?

I think you’ve explained in that post why Salah gets less scrutiny. 10x G/As so far, and a bank of memories of him scoring massive goals when it really matters.

I haven’t seen anyone here ‘stick the boot in’ with Darwin. Everyone seems to love him and want him to do well. But the fact is that he will need to improve his finishing to be a regular starter in this team

Unfortunately I missed the game so I watched it today!

What an dazzling result - a great end to end game.

Ibou and Mo are my standouts.

What a remarkable job Arne has done so far.

YNWA.

Are the stats your job or a hobby? I’d be fascinated if you could offer any statistical insight into our games.

A hobby turned into a job! I don’t have much figures to use currently as I am home but…

Mo, Diogo and Luis are our most dangerous front 3 statistically. (Federico would be but his sample size (gametime) is only 12% of Diogo’s). Salah is overperforming with what is expected of him with 2.3 assists more than we would have thought.

Ryan, Dom and Alexis are our leaders in progressive passes/carries. Ryan’s passing is 3rd in longest distances travelled (8813 yards). 27% being progressive towards the opposition goal.

19% of our corners are outswinging too!! A change since Aaron Briggs took over.

It can be hard to judge defenders/goalkeepers with statistics but Trent is our best defender at taking the ball off attackers, but also liable to getting beat often. He is a very busy player!! Alexis is high on this too.

I will compare the season’s once I have a larger data source (mid January).
