WTAF was that, most looked like they didn’t want to be there, has to be the worst under Klopp,we can still get back but a hell of a mountain to climb.
MOTM Gakpo.hard to see anyone else.
And I am not going to tee off on SOS, they have done a lot over the years, and frankly, if they don’t protest at home games, where do they?If we cop everything laying down it will spiral pretty quick…everything does.
By the bigger side, we can’t ignore that.
Maybe that was the point.
Switched the tv off at 0-2 and went to sleep.
Checked the score when I woke up. Glad I didn’t see the shitshow unfold fully.
I slept walked to work at about the same time.
We basically thought this would be another Sparta Prague
Well thank fuck The Masters is on.
Were they as bad as the scoreline suggests?
I can’t think a lack of banners would matter to the players at all. Lack of atmosphere? Absolutely. And although SOS’s shenanigans may have played a small part, that would be more to do with another fucking insipid performance against the man cunts. I think it would be hard as fans to really be up for a Thursday game in general but moreso after that on the weekend.
We can possibly turn it around in the second leg. But I don’t expect it. I find it’s best to believe and not expect. As much as we have a reputation for making something of a second leg, even we have probably failed 2 out of 3 times when chasing a first leg deficit.
Like several others on here, this stinks of a mental slump after the United draw. Which would suck hard if we hand the initiative over to Arse. I really, really hope it isn’t.
one or two players off form can be understood/possibly accepted, but four, five six at the same time is unacceptable considering the standards they have set since Klopp took over. Our lads lacked desire, intensity, teamwork and motivation. Hope Klopp and coaching staff have a few words to say about that display and get them firing on all cylinders again
I see the self appointed spokespeople of the fans SOS are giving themselves a massive Twitter pat on the back for last night.
All that over a 2% increase in prices, bravo.
Such a shame that a chunk of the people they’re masquerading for end up profiteering by supplying either their dead relatives season ticket or one of their multiple members cards to places like this.
Just woke up.
Feel like I was beaten up last night.
Will feel shit all day.
Worse. Atalanta could have easily scored 2 more goals.
It was bad enough to make Klopp change his mind about leaving. With one or two exceptions, the rest looked like they didn’t want to be there.
There were some signs starting from the cup match at the old toilet that the team was beginning to hit a wall but last night was beyond description. An utterly humiliating showing, far worse than even the disaster versus R. Madrid.
The dead atmosphere courtesy of SOS deciding to big themselves up over a pound and some pennies didn’t help, but blaming them is wide of the mark.
I hope I’m wrong but I think that this is the end of us challenging for the PL as well. We look like we’re about to go on a long run without wins. If nothing else, Sunday will be interesting.
Klopps final season?
I wish I could argue
SOS out cry over a £17 price rise after 6 years of frozen prices is a joke. Its 86p a game ffs.
Prices do go up. Thats life. The club have done well to freeze them for so long.
Protest in other ways…dont buy a programme or the new kit but dont create a shit atmosphere in Cup qf.
I would be intetested to know from those who actually attended if they noticed anything different apart from the banners? Do they think the protest affected the players or atmosphere or was the crowd just subdued by the way the game panned out. Putting any blame on SOS seems a bit fanciful to me. No-one asked the fans not to get behind the team?
@WooltonRed any thoughts?
My thought is that everyone thought it would be a stroll including management hence the starting line-up. From day one too many people were already making plans for that dream final in Dublin.
Once they scored any atmosphere drained away. It was a bad night all round. Real shame if the season ends in a whimper.
I won’t start arguing about whether the ticket price increase is justified or not. However, while the lack of atmosphere might have played a part yesterday night, and if it was the case, then the owners will surely regret now to have announced this increase at such a crucial time in the season? Knowing that the fans being unhappy usually affects our performances at Anfield?
Anyway, this issue shouldn’t serve as an excuse for the shitshow served up by the lads yesterday night. The draw at OT was one of these odd things happening here and then. We should have won the game at a canter and the lads couldn’t do much about it, apart from taking their chances.
But this was unacceptable, and a big, BIG reaction is now required in the next game.
I am not sure how Jurgen can get the players up for the Palace game. I hope the so called “leaders” in our team live up to their names and, somehow, turn the players round, if not in form at least in effort and determination. I believe Arsenal and City will still drop points. It would be a shame if we capitulate due to lack of application.
Folks in Singapore had to pay 88 GBP per match just to watch LFC play against CP and BM. For SOS to protest in a key European fixtures for a ticket that costs over 40 GBP per guaranteed match over one full season, it really puts into perspective what this bunch of so called fans really is.
Perhaps, they are worse than my nickname. Probably NotaFan
A lot t of the SoS bunch are glorified touts.
The price rise won’t affect them one bit as they would still make money by selling match day tickets at much more than the face value.
