Ekitike has not scored two matches in a row now. Think it’s safe to call him a failed signing. Very concerned.

Marcos Llorente comes back to Anfield to haunt all of us again…However, we are now under a new period of boiling the piss of everyone else. Those in the PL knows it. Simeone doesn’t and got sent off…

Worst thing about this new CL format is we don’t have another guaranteed game against Atleti.

Arne vs El Cholo is everything good about football.

First game of the season where Salah was Salah and he was damn near unplayable. He and Van Dijk once again produced the goods; There are no words that’d do them justice.

Everyone else pretty much followed their lead; Special mention to Isak. If this is him without preseason, what happens when he comes up to speed. Gakpo, who continues to frustrate and Bradley who struggled after he came on, with a particularly stupid yellow to go along with, were the exception.

That said, another 2 goal lead was thrown away for no particular good reason. Atletico had an xG of 0.5 and scored two goals. That Llorente cunt seems to play out of his skin every time he shows up at Anfield. He’s got 4 goals in 3 appearances.

deserved win and couldn’t care less when the goals are scored as long as it’s a couple more than the opposition

Get it correct if you are going to try and wind people up its 3 games Arsenal, Burnley and Athetico.

Who punched the steward? I thought it was Simeone at the time.

Our ā€œluckā€ will run out they say. We will eventually lose apperently!
No, fuck you, we’re doing this every fucking week. Sometimes even twice before Sunday!

Simeone probably took offense at being called the Argentine Arteta.

ā€œIt’s alright if soomeone calls me a shit cunt. But then they overstepped and called me Argentine Artetaā€

They are just a slightly better Burnley then….as those are similar to the weekend.

Thought it was a great game and totally unexpected against Atletico. Tight and cagey waiting for a mistake it wasn’t although that was probably because of the early goals shitting all over Simeone’s game plan. We played some wonderful stuff straight up the pitch. We have some amazing ball carriers, the way Grav, Wirtz and Isak move with the ball is a joy to watch, half turns, opening up the pitch, playing in between the lines, running at defenders. Smooth as silk. This team running through the gears is going to be scary .
Couple areas of concern; we didn’t finish it off and the subs took some zip out. Macca needs some sort of intervention for his body’s sake which is a fucking pity. There is always someone fucked over during the off season and then getting clattered early doors and he looks like he drew the short straw this season. Bradley is a massive step down, I’m sorry to say. Look he’s been decent since he got into the side but that’s the limit of it, for me personally. The second goal was almost exclusively down to him; poor touch from the pass to him ballooned the ball up instead of trapping it allowing him to be pressed and cough up the throw then he was slightly out of position and got done by the attacker on the byline. Has to be better.

He is obviously a talent, and he’s pegged for the first team for aged.

He has struggled for rhythm because of the stop start nature of his career so far.

Far too early to write him off.

I wholly disagree with that. There were instances last season when I thought he was a true upgrade to Trent, and I do not make that conclusion lightly.

Not sure this is the image we want to portray as LFC to the rest of Europe… Arriving only a couple of weeks after the guy throwing his chewing gum alongside his racial slurs… Will need better minds than mine to draw a conclusion..!!!

FOOTAGE OF FAN WHO CONFRONTED DIEGO SIMEONE

Prior to appearing to help goad the Atletico Madrid manager into earning a red card, earlier video was captured of the same fan just after the visitors scored their second goal at Anfield.

Sell him, he’s shite

Perhaps too early, granted. He is limited, though. I think way too high a ceiling has been placed on him courtesy of his early performances; showed no fear, tackled Mbappe, etc. Anyways, time will tell. Let’s not get drawn into the trap of discussing the negatives. Happy to take this to the Bradley thread.

If he is of that level though why can’t he be again?
