Damn it! Cut losses and Terminate his contract. Now!
Salah is the one that always win when the doors open for Black Friday sales
I think it was more a case of a normal right back doing right back things instead of watching Alexander-Arnold waffling around the pitch waving everyone past than anything massively world beating.
Bradley is getting rinsed more times than a community dish cloth at the minute.
He finished season poorly and not set this season alight.
And heās had a number of injuries. Seem to find someone new to bash every week and then everyone seems to have their favourite to bash. The lad is still young.
Pretty much how I see it as well.
Weāve been so used to glossing over Trentās mistakes that even something what a good premier league right back does (as expected) is being seen differently.
Bradley did what should be expected for a PL level right back which he is. In that regard , he really is no different from Neco Williams. Good enough to play in the PL but the juryās out on whether heās one of the best around.
Frimpong on the other hand has shown why we were right in bringing him in.
While itās too early to be writing off Bradley, he needs to show some improvement and also have (luck with injuries) if heās going to be the first choice RB.
Either way, bringing in someone like Livramento (who can play both left and right back) wouldnāt be a bad thing. Especially as Robboās being phased out as well.
What a fantastic game to watch that was! Pre-match, I expected it to be one of these extra-tight games, with a lot of shithousery on display. The two early goals changed that of course, it was a great start from our lads!
That game was the perfect test for us, because Atletico are far, far from being numpties. They were rattled by the initial two bangs on their heads, but after that, they crept back into the game, and the 2-1 wasnāt that undeserved. I donāt know if there was an offside or not, Iād think that it was regular, but will be happy to be corrected if needed.
The second half was Atletico at their best: being able to maintain a strong defence while still trying to turn the screw and get the equalizer. Yes, we had a couple of chances on counters which should have been taken, but if we are honest, we were under the cosh for most of the second half. The 2-2, again, wasnāt undeserved, even if it came from a weird deflection.
But I think that this was the turning point which allowed us to come back eventually. Instead of continuing their game of stifling us while trying to attack our goal (the balance until that point had been near perfect), they retreated and thought that theyād sit out our late attacking moves. That was their mistake, and why they lost the game. The last ten minutes brought us a lot of corners and dead ball situations, and we scored from one of them. What a header from VVD! Simply stunning, and a great moment!
That was a really tough nut to crack, and our lads found yet again a way. Wirtz is steadily improving, and at some point, heāll suddenly find his rewards. Isak was impressive during his 55 minutes or so. I didnāt expect him to play for such a long time, and he was visibly grilled at the end. Mo was the great Mo we have come to know. He could easily have had a hat-trick! Heās one of those I gave my vote to. VVD is the other one, and for me, Gravenberch is the MoM. What a progress this lad has made, very impressive! He was imperial in that midfield.
Not at all. Itās not bashing. Itās a simple thing of my opinion is different than yours regarding certain players. Objectively, I donāt see Bradley as of the required level and thatās not going to change and itās not a case of finding someone new. Thatās my view and Iāll stick to it until evidence to the contrary emerges. Not that difficult a stance to accept and live with, no? Heās a young lad and he could yet become stellar, Iām not discounting that possibility however I think it unlikely. Whatās the bash?
He has a dog called āAnfieldā
The bloody audacity!!
The 3 goal scorers for Liverpool were the only 3 Liverpool players on the pitch today that played in that tie vs Atletico in 2020. Wow!
Heās good enough to play for a side whoās in the top 8 in the PL . Just not good enough just yet to be the starting RB for us. Heāll have the time that he needs to change opinions of people though (myself included in there)
The ref let him escape with some shitty tackles how we escaped from serious injuries to our player is a minor miracle. I like the fact that he let the game flow but when you are playing against a team that always plays on the edge the ref should stop the game for a bad foul and one of those was against Isak while he was writhing on the floor they went on and nearly scored, after that he didnāt give the offender a yellow.
I agree that he is now coming to terms with this level of competition and the PL and I have no fear now that he will be one of our most important part of the team just like Gravy and both are very young!
Best thing about the new format is we donāt have another guaranteed game against Athletico at their place, so they may just have to stew over that ending indefinitely.
How many games does he get for that petulant display? Anyone seen that yet?
Back in the main stand this season for the CL. Great atmosphere last night, but felt we were a bit sloppy in midfield and should have found the third goal much earlier in the game.
Isak looked a bit slow in terms of his pressing and running, but some nice touches and moments. Wirtz looking better game by game.
All in all a great evening. We canāt keep winning late can we? Up the late winning reds.
A wideshot from last night. Weāre a few rows behind the media lot, so could see the replays. Some odd ref decisions last night, although I need to watch the game on telly (if I can be bothered) to get a better look.
Did you insult Simeone?
