Szob was quite good for most of the game, i just cant vote for him because of that moment.

Definitely agree, Leoni was the 1st but I have seen several players have lucky escapes on that astro turf since it has been used, it seems the cheapest shit quality that money buys.

Doesn’t seem so as Red says and I have said I have seen many near misses and if I had been a player, dreamland, I would have mentioned it as dangerous.
Not just us, but other teams also have the same crap, the artificial grass used needs to have a similar consistency to the pitch to lessen the chance of injury.

You’re only ever onto a loser with games like this. Win comfortably and no one really gives a shit. Win but plucky underdogs have a couple decent moments and the commentators will spend all night talking them up and begging for an upset. Lose and you’re in crisis.
So job done. Professional without being overly polished and barely out of second gear. We’re still not flying by any means but at least this result keeps the media focus on the laughing stocks down the M62 and we can all enjoy that.
Pretty sure Wirtz and Ekitike are the new Bergkamp and Henry so that’s nice.

Barnsley manager Hourihane just wants the spotlight and creates controversies …he claimed that Dom would not do the stupid stuff against PL side…so he’s disappointed with Barnsley’s goal. What a dick.

That is not for him to call out. For Slot to give Dom a bollock behind close doors, yes. Dom did not go and injure another player. Dom did stupid shits when he was younger…and unfortunately it did not grow out of him.

Adam Phillips, you the got the goal you wanted at the Kop End of the club you grew up at. How does that feel?
I feel disappointed that Szoboszlai disrespected our team by gifting me that goal. I would have rather he did a routine clearance and we went home on the end of a four nil defeat. That would have stung, but at least we wouldn’t have been disrespected.

We lose concentration and get sloppy even seem to fall asleep (or was that me nodding off in during the second half). Subs and changes don’t help and frankly aren’t necessary.

Anyway we scored some nice goals. The way Ekitikè attacked the ball for his goal was encouraging. I wish we could see more agression like that.
