That is so rude :see_no_evil_monkey: :joy:

I don’t think so. Bournemouth are something else under Iraola. Not to say that they will finish fourth, but they could have a good shot at it if they haven’t too many injuries.

Why would a club (and I’m going to say it, relevant or not: a club with no shortage of fans on a waiting list to get a ticket) tolerate someone with a habit of throwing chewing gum at people? Effing gross. I’m assuming they don’t mean he goes into his bag and pulls out a fresh packet to throw.

Tolerate behaviour like that and end up with the consequences.

Sounds like this Semenyo lad has got more to him than this club.

I think they’d be doing very well to finish 8th. If @sweeting seriously tips them for 4th, then he’d do well to put money on it as I’d expect the returns are probably >40/1.

Edit: just checked - the bookies are giving more measly odds of 25-40/1 but Bournemouth are 12th in terms of odds for a top 4 finish.

I think we’ll be doing very well to finish 8th, if we continue defending, like we did against Bournemouth.

Well said Ali

Look at the stewards and the supporters seated in the same area, who have obviously tolerated his behaviour for several years.

Bournemouth have come a long way since they were completely skint, in administration, struggling in league 2, not so very long ago.

Thank you I personally think it’s because I’ve shown faith in Chiesa when everyone else has called him ā€œfatā€, he was repaying me.

We didn’t defend poorly at all. What issues we had on the goals was far more about shape in possession and how exposed it left the defense in situations where we lost the ball, but the defending of the situations was not bad (maybe a quibble about an ongoing lack of coordination between Robbo and Virgil resulting in the latter not being made aware Robbo’s guy on his blind side). Outside of those two counter attack opportunities, for as difficult as Bournemouth made the game in general I don’t recall too much else to worry about in terms of clear opportunities we allowed them to have.

Thank God you’re not the coach

Yeah it was definitely a bit of a baptism of fire against a side who snap at your ankles so relentlessly. He definitely got caught out a few times due to this, but overall I thought he held up pretty well and he’ll be much the better for the experience.

If anything I’d say that the rest of the team (Hugo apart) weren’t yet ready for him. The remedy is more minutes together in training and in games.

I thought he played within himself. But I also saw what is looking like a pattern of teams fouling him he needs to make this more obvious…

What I really like is his mentality…He’s not fazed by anything

Agree, and I’m worried about this as - like Mac - he’s an ā€˜all action’ type player who wants to have a go and I could easily see him getting carded while also getting kicked all over the place

Seem to recollect reading @sweeting saying that he reckoned bounrnemouth might make an outside challenge for the top 5 this season.

I won’t agree.

The issue isn’t with the tactics for me. Nor is it with the players they have on the first team. iraloa is doing a splendid job with the resources he’s having. The point is that they won’t have the legs to push on forward come December. Especially when the injuries come knocking down.

I still think they’ll surprise a lot of people and finish in the 8th to 12th positions. But not a chance of finishing higher than that.

It’s also one thing judging a side by them having one good game and not getting the result they expected. Judge a team when 15 games have been done.
