Post Match: Liverpool v Brighton (EPL 1/10/22 3pm)

Fabinho was very poor also.

I watched the game in full today same fucking result. We did play some good football but look so vulnerable at the back.

We’re going round in circles with that one

Yes agree, that’s what i was trying to say. If it was strictly on form, it probably should be done. However, like you say, we need VVD for his organization skills that the others dont seem to be able to do. .

I wonder if something way out there might help us? Something like swapping VvD and Matip over. There’s a twisted logic to it which could backfire spectacularly or maybe even prove positive.

Firstly, teams load our right side giving VvD an easy ride. It might give opposition forwards something to think about. Secondly, the increased pressure might wake VvD up. Thirdly, he might help sort Trent out. One of his best attributes is getting the full back on that side into better defensive positions.

Being honest, I just throwing any idea out there for the crack.

We r fukt

i must have missed something

to me he just bristled and asked something along the lines of ‘who can we sign that is an improvement’

they way you have framed it, it sounds like theres evidence that we offered Klopp ‘insert name here’ and he said thanks but no thanks.

lot of too ing and fro ing, but to me theres a fair bit of an issue all around, with every department, including the owners, might have to wear a portion of the blame
Klopp, Pep, Owners and players
the best coment ive seen from someone on here (forget who, might have been cynicalgit,) 'how long can you keep rolling a boulder up a hill?

theres bound to be hiccups if even at 110% intensity you are still missing out by a point after achieving near perfection
been going on years
maybe everyone has just been asked to go to the well one too many times

either way im cutting them all a bit of slack
the only ones who im not are the owners who have been able to comfortably watch the project run at near perfection for 4 plus years now
this to me, is the moment when they needed to go to that proverbial well
maybe this is the moment the model needed to be changed

i understand maybe this isnt a preffered or popular opinion, im just entertaining the idea right now that a more proactive ownership group might have made a bit more hay whilst Klopps sunshine shone
if you know what i mean.

yeah puzzling really
they do similar things over here w/the Sox and some of their other investments, where they take a sabbatical from investing out of pocket

Puzzling because I thought they appeared to have understood the difference in this game, where a 37 year old can’t really be used like in baseball (even though James doesn’t chew tobacco nor does he drink before the game).

Worst case scenario is that they are discussing or already quietly executing their exit strategy now that certain valuation targets have been reached and the most recent comparable asset sale (CFC) is in the books

Maybe I shouldn’t have said worst case

I didn’t say that. I merely was talking about the late goal they received. They’ll be furious about that.

I don’t question one moment the willingness of the lads to run through barbed wires for this club if they need to. Klopp wouldn’t allow for anything else. The fact that they were able to come back from 0-2 to 3-2 should be a clear enough sign for that. Pity that they conceded that late 3-3

But as I said before, it’s not the end of the world. The lads will improve with the season going on, no doubts about that.

No he didn’t, he specifically said he didn’t want a midfielder all window and 1 week before it shuts now he does.

No framing, no nothing. Just the exact words Klopp said.

Nice to see you’ve learnt the Aussie lingua franca so quickly.

My apologies, I wasn’t replying directly to your post per se, but I didn’t make that clear.

I was talking about those people who think that our players are suffering from motivational issues. I think if anything they’re suffering from being too committed, and the frustration is seeping through.

Very kind of ratboy.

That, but also sometimes Klopp prefers to keep players out of the team to fully acclimatise. See Robbo, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Ox, Minamino, Konate.

That said, I think Darwin will start against Rangers. Could really do with a game.

If you remember other windows he was the same, the first question he was constantly asked was who are we signing, he said it’s not like that in Germany and joked he wished the window was closed.
If the owners carry on like this we will see protests against them.

Basically, your starting point is if we don’t win the transfer window we’re going nowhere.

It was more that that. He got quite angry a few times. He then admitted he was wrong very late in the window, before the ‘risk’ thing a couple of days later.

Probably got the news you can have a few million for another Ben Davies.
I’m not surprised he got angry with everyone expecting us to buy big and compete with city for trophies.

With the squad we have and with its experience we should definitely have more than 11 points at this point of the season.

Probably only people who play too much Fantasy Football and FIFA believe that the lack of transfers costs us atm.
