Lovely stuff, started rusty as expected but got better and better.

What a debut and return from Luis and Harvey.

Harvey’s goal was the best, but good determination from Taki for his goal

Gave it to Elliott, the play was lifted inmideltly with his in midfield and playing the ball directly. :+1:

Monochrome in honour of the magic of the cup

What a difference with the subs.

I’m probably way off, but Elliott seems to have gone from a boy to a man during his time off, and I can see him coming back into the midfield 3 on a permanent basis. Certainly prefer him as an option to Hendo or Milner at the moment.

Harvey Elliot just back and best player on the pitch. WoW!

Made hard work of the first half but upped it in the second and got through with ease, Jota man of the match. Onwards and upwards.

Elliott is the story here. What a return and what a difference he made and will make. He’s going to be some player for us. Diaz didn’t look bad either, did he?

Job done, eviscerate Rodgers on Thursday.

I didn’t see the game but job done considering what happened Friday and our well known rustiness plus the fact we finally got to see Diaz and Elliott was back with a goal, all in all a good afternoon.

Businesslike.

Won’t belabor the point of the tone of match thread in the first half but I was a little surprised by how negative it was before our boys ever got their legs going. This was never in doubt.

I was just excited to have the boys finally back. These past 2 weeks seemed an eternity. I was happy to finally see them again.

Glad the boys will now enter a period of a match every few days. We have a full squad (for once) and the opportunity to develop a rhythm.

My overwhelming feeling right now is relief, that Elliott is back and settled the nerves with his first Liverpool goal, and relief seeing Diaz get up after him clutching his knee.

Not sure Brenda’s viscera are necessarily a sight for public consumption.
