I would normally agree, except that judging by what I see of our European matches (and indeed the Euros), English referees are a special breed of crap. Admittedly I don’t watch the league matches, but they do have to shoulder a large portion of the blame.
Not much details from the FA site other than " two breaches of FA Rule E20.1"
talking our yer arse again?
PDF for the description of that rule:
But the sentence from the FA site “It is alleged that Chelsea FC failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 48th minute of the first half and following the half-time whistle” does not appear to be aligned with the PDF article, which focused on conducts by spectators.
wasn’t it during the LFC game that a bottle of something was thrown onto the pitch?
FA Rule E20(a) states that “Each Affiliated Association, Competition and Club shall be responsible for ensuring that its directors, players, officials, employees, servants, representatives, spectators, and all persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, conduct themselves in an orderly fashion and refrain …
So who is going to open the Leeds thread?
I am unbeaten in 7, six wins and a draw.
I will step aside if the Chelsea result blots my record though!
We’ll win whoever opens it.
There’s no shame in a draw against park the bus Chelsea, get on with it please as I have nothing better to do other than become impatient atm and noone in there right mind wants me opening anything more than a door let alone a pre match thread.
Peudence dictates that I wait till Tuesday.
Never on a Monday…
Wasn’t there some kind of informal rule/guideline about how pre-match threads shouldn’t be started until all international matches are over?
Mind you, we might never get round to it since Keïta’s stuck…
That will teach them
I did not know this;
Chelsea had already been penalised seven times in the previous seven years for similar offences relating to acting in an unorderly fashion - but the FA have chosen not to make an example of the Londoners despite having the power to do so.
So basically do as you please, as the FA will just hand out pithy little fines annually.
There were calls from some of our fans during and after the game for our players to show more fury towards the referees and I held firm that the way our players conduct themselves is far greater than our opponents. Now I’m all for the players surrounding the ref and kicking off - heck I’ll put a quid in, as will 24,999 other fans to see our players standing up to the refs (albeit, Chelsea’s red card was a clear red so not really the time you want your players kicking off!)
I feel a respect campaign coming on. let’s just make an example of one person then move on pretending we’ve solved the problem.
Wonder which one of our players is getting sent off this weekend then…
