My local MP who is leader of the Lib Dems commented it didnā€™t demonstrate the proper Liverpool fans.

Iā€™ve emailed him as a constituent to put him right on it, and if he needs a lesson in Hillsborough Iā€™m happy to have a go.

I see it as a protest against the ā€˜establishmentā€™. Itā€™s not really possible to target politicians en masse unless Boris fucking Johnson starts presenting the Cup so the Royal Family are next in line. Most booing yesterday, including myself, probably donā€™t hold deep-rooted hatred of the Royals but just see them as an out-dated, disfunctional group of parasites.
The fact it boils the piss of the Daily M*** and the gammon that reads it is absolutely fucking wonderful.

It still relies on the keeper having to figure out or guess whether the player is likely to change from their usual placing or not. Therefore iā€™m not sure it does confer an advantage unless there is something about their run up that gives it away.

Elliottā€™s barnet is a real concern at this stage.

Day after, and it all feels wonderful.

Pleasant surprise to see Man City drop points to West Ham, even with a Mahrez penalty late on. If we win at Southampton - we take nothing for granted, as we are tired, and a few wonā€™t make that one - but if we do it, we are one point behind going into the last day.

Itā€™s all set up for Stevieā€™s Aston Villa to get a famous draw, and the mighty reds to win it.

Oh, and while Iā€™m mentioning Stevie, heā€™s a red, a legend, but he is nobodyā€™s shill. Heā€™s a manā€™s man, doing a grown up job at the helm of a historic Prem team. I got a bit pissed off when we played Villa last time, but afterwards I saw it as a feather in Stevieā€™s cap. If his team are a pain in the arse to play against, that sets him up better as a potential Liverpool manager than if we whack them 5-0 without breaking sweat.

Stevie is a fighter, and if his Villa team can give one last almighty push, we might yet be going to Paris one game from the never-done- before quadruple. Fingers crossed.

As for the anthem stuff, a couple of thoughts on that. First, free speech. You can say what you like, and Iā€™m glad we are still allowed to disapprove of those in authority. Second, Iā€™m not a Royalist. I donā€™t have strong feelings like some, but clearly the whole thing is outdated by at least several generations and needs to go. With that said, I respect the Queen, and while William hasnā€™t done anything wrong himself, heā€™s a youngish fella representing a system from the Middle Ages, and it just doesnā€™t sit right nowadays. Third, even leaving the Royal Family out of it, the booing represents legitimate protest at those in authority in government. Shitshow the lot of them. Economic support and provision for the various regions around the country is far from even, and people feel that. And of course books could be written on successive governments and their inability to get justice for the 96, now 97.

So the booing should come as no surprise.

I donā€™t know if I missed something, but in all the post match celebrations, I didnā€™t see the Ox involved at all. Not on the pitch or in the dressing room, which is sad.

Fan vlog at Hotel Anfield (with her Tsimiā€™s kit on!) and afterwards showing that the FA Cup on Champions Wall outside of Anfield. No time wasted and has been updated immediately to #8 (at 16m08s).

There is something of the knob about him at present. Hopefully itā€™s just youthful cockiness and he grows out of it - I expect he will.
