Post match: Liverpool v Chelsea (FA Cup Final 14/5/22 4.45pm)

Rewatched the match and got through all 3 commentaries:

World Feed with Martin Tyler and Steward Robson - Worse of the worse, didn’t make any effort to hide their bias.
BBC - Why is Jenas doing the co-commentary? He is absolutely abysmal.
ITV - Probably the most acceptable commentary.

I was on the Martin Tyler commentary and wow, this guy (like you mentioned) was blatantly biased. Maybe he thinks he’s the most well-known footie commentator and that allows him certain liberties but whenever I hear his voice I know it’s going to be like an ‘away’ broadcast and try to tune him out.

Is this even allowed?

Yeah, Tyler is shithouse. While I’m not too sure of his bias-ness, he definitely is terrible at seeming enthuastic. Just keeps droning on, barely raising his voice. Where was Peter Drury to inject some enthusiasm into proceedings I kept thinking.

I really don’t get this. Bluemoon have a thread dedicated to him and his bias against them and his alleged hatred of them. They think he is a liverpool fan because he celebrates our goals. Just go in and search Tyler on their forum. They often site this as an example of his bias

It is all about perception.

I don’t mind him. It is just his style and I would rather listen to his understated commentary than one of the screamers…

Im sure he was in one clip on the pitch someone on here mentioned it but no sign of him after that.

Ok Rambler, did Bluemoon mention his ejaculation over the Aguero goal, or his climax with Rat Face when Kompany scored? I dont really think so?
Have a look again and tell me if they did?

Of course not. They are just as delusional as we are :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Even I recognise that. As I said it is all about perception. Fans looking for reasons to be outraged.

Every fanbase will think someone has a bias against them because all they ever see (primarily) is their own games. This gives a distorted view of bias against.

I’m sure there is some levels of bias, some levels of incompetence. heck probably some corruption. People are after all human.

You can either just enjoy Jurgen and the red men and the trophies coming our way or allow yourself to be embittered. Despite my frustrations at times I am all aboard the KloppExpress!

The one where Diaz’ shot was saved by Mendy but it still rolled towards thd line? That pass from Trent with the outside of his foot reminded me of Stevie’s pass to Sturridge for the winner against Fulham in 2014.

I suspect the latter more than anything else. The sheer inconsistency in the premier league doesn’t help either. How many times have we seen our players clearly tripped and pushed over in the box for play to be waved on and yet when we are awarded a penalty we are, more often than not, scratching our heads to work out what the offence was.

Is Naby taking inspiration from this fella?:nerd_face:

Really?

Looking for reasons to be outraged? Look at yesterdays West Ham match…should we be outraged with how Manc Cunt reffed that match? How Fernandinho constantly fouled Antonio without punishment? If the foul that led to the penalty is on Mane does ge get it?

Are we not allowed to be outraged at Salah getting kicked all game without a free kick? Stats there to prove that btw.

Perhaps we should all pile on our own players instead. Attack them in match threads? Want them dropped because they won’t sign contracts? Maybe thats what a ‘real’ supporter looks like?

Edit;
For clarity this is massive end to a season and very exciting, enjoyable and heart stopping. I am genuinely loving it, but it is tempered with the gnawing feeling that we could lose to cheaters. Cheaters who have had a fair rub of luck with referees.
I think its acceptable to have more than one perpective on anything and not to be judged as a supporter on that view.

100% the whole PMGOL set up is rotten, probably going off subject now so I’ll be brief, the lack of transparancy (ref’s being mic’d up), zero accountability (i.e. impartial outside review of performances leading to education and change). The culture for officials has gone to levels where they can’t be questioned which just leads to this circling of the wagons mentality instead of a culture of positive change.

I believe the chav fans were booing Joe Gomez on Saturday relating to the sterling incident years ago, im so glad we beat these cunts twice at Wembley this season.

Odd one - Chav fans booing an incident between two players, neither of whom play for Chelsea or have any links to Chelsea.

I didn’t hear it at the ground, but suspect the TV company mics were picking it up

The most ACTION-PACKED game of the season?! | Tottenham 2-2 Liverpool | Premier League Highlights - YouTube

I think its this kind of commentary that grates, where he’s commentating in a high octave for Kane’s opener, then in a monotone voice “Jota…headerrrrrr…1-1” and “Its a goal. Its Robertson”. Then back to the high octave “Can Son get there? He Cann!!! its 2-2!!”

I dislike Tyler greatly. Would rather listen to Alice if I’m honest

Anyone see John Henry and Linda? Haven’t seen them in any pictures, seems odd.

Just checked - based on Linda’s insta don’t think they have been in the UK recently and the liverpool posts (like below) are file photos:
