Post Match: Liverpool v Crystal Palace (EPL 15/7/22 8pm)

Not as many as us.

Looool

Yup, you can make a bit of a case for Milner but VVD is miles away.

I was told here a while back that we don’t need an enforcer, a hard fucker who will get stuck in when required.
Nunez was stupid last night, but no way Anderson tries that crap against Bellamy or Gerrard or Souness back a few years ago.
I am no fan of Roy Keane, but he would have hit Anderson with a sly tackle to let him know he was being watched.

Hopefully Nunez will learn, he has a great future if he applies himself and learns from Klopp.

I was suprised Milly didn’t spot it
and have a tactical face to face word with the defender.

To be fair no one could account for Konate and Matip to both be injured at the same time and for Jurgen to leave out Gomez for whatever reason. I do not agree that we are light at CB. I do feel however that brilliant as he is Millie is better off the bench when some of the pace has gone from the game and I have been concerned for a long time about Fabinho who seems to be a bit slow all around. sadly injuries have really crippled us with Ox and Naby seeming to be frequently injured and looking very average when fit.

Yeah, again you wonder if Hendo is on that’s sorted. He does have more awareness than people give him credit for.

He will probably also dress down Darwin.

I’m amazed that you can complain about the referees, and not realise that the moment any of ours tries that, they’re off. Tierney in particular isn’t exactly card-shy against Merseyside teams.

Don’t be silly you don’t do that after the fact it was going on for the whole match and our senior players did nothing to help their new CF.

Van Dijk had enough time during corners to make that clear for Andersen. I blame this sending of more on those two then on NĂșñez.

Yeah but that’s like me leaving the house late for an appointment and being mad at the traffic for making me late. The team JK prepped and put out there generally put in a disappointing performance, they wouldn’t have scored then whether the guy is out there or not

I blame it on the player for being dumb enough to react. A shove back or forth and I’d think ok maybe this can be dealt with, you don’t lean your head into the player 2-3 times, your asking for it.

Sorry he is solely to blame for being dumb enough to do that.

That’s okĂ© I don’t

He won’t last very long if he has to be always minded.

You are looking for stuff to argue about.
Proper hard players like Gerrard would let Anderson know who was boss without a major foul.

It’s not primary school ffs. He’s a grown man and will hopefully take personal responsibility for his actions and learn from them

It’s called sticking up for eachother we’re the senior players protect the newcomers common practice. One day NĂșñez will be one of the senior players hopefully doing what van Dijk and Milner failed to do.

I’d be embarrassed if I was a 6’3 22-year-old that needed an oul fella to stick up for me

It’s funny to me how much conceding a goal can colour the entire impression of the game. Having watched it back I’m amazed that anyone can argue anything other than Liverpool should have won by several goals.

Chill out, Palace are a tough team to beat at home (they took 4 points off City last season). Can’t win every game. Beat Man Utd next week, then we have Bournemouth at home after that. 8 points from 4 games will have us in around 4th. We are fine.

Trent was exceptional by the way, no idea why he is being singled out as the worst player by some people, other than it being the default position on twitter to blame him for everything.

Agreed, but a more experienced player having a word with Andseron and with him would resolve the issue without a stupid red card.

VVD: “stop annoying our new cf you prick”
Andersen: “fuck off”
