Post Match: Liverpool v Everton (EPL 20/2/21 5.30pm)

Wum alert…

To be fair, I think he was gonna get to the ball.

Doesn’t make it a penalty. But he was going to get to it.

Thought you had me on ignore?
Anyway, I will call anyone who suggests that the number of decisions, crucial decisions that have gone against Liverpool this season as being “fair” as being fucking naive.

Apologies if that upsets anyone, but I really cannot understand how these decisions cannot be seen as a biased agenda against the club.

It appears to be ok to label your fellow supporters as tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists, whilst getting worked up about being called naive??

No one is arguing that lots of decisions have gone against us. Yesterday’s was a joke. Still a jump from that to all your conspiracy jargon…and you didn’t answer any of my questions

I never used the word conspiracy in my argument. Ever.
I see an institutional bias as different, and have explained my rationale on countless occasions.
At no point, ever have I said conspiracy, and there is a massive difference.

We have a bunch of nice guys that’s why. Did anyone give Ricardison a knock? Prickford dived in front of Wijnaldum, did he gave him a knock? Don’t think so.

Nobody gets in the ref’s ear. We need a fucking bastard out there.

TAA kicked Digne in the nuts

By accident after passing the ball.

Salah knocks the ball past Digne, and Digne attemps to put his hand on Salah’s waist to slow him down Salah went down easy, but the pull was obvious.

Ref said no foul and Digne was waving the imaginary yellow card at the ref. Sums him up.

Your qualification for such a statement? You know Klopp has a degree in sports science right?

Just wondering how you can reach such a conclusion without even knowing the players training regime.

Spot on I’m not going to blame the referees either. The lack of creativity is stark, that has been the biggest difference this season. That and injuries we’re running on empty. Were we complaining about refs last season? No because our performances were normally class.

This season is awful but imagine if last season had been null and void? I’d have been absolutely gutted.

I disagree with that.
Matip injury record fair enough but even for him this season has been exceptional. Gomez’s long lay offs have been more the result of freak accidents. Vvd has been solid. Fabinho has proven to be a perfectly capable 4th choice.

Now what crystal ball says you’d lose all 4 along with your 6th back up and if what I read about Davies the 2nd back up you buy in.

It’s just been bonkers. Why do people look for people to blame all the time?

If it had been Bernard, they would be Brazil Nuts then…

Will get me coat

I find it ridiculous as well. It’s simply not foreseeable to lose your three recognised CBS to season enders, then your versatile fourth choice, then a lads you’ve brought in as cover, then the midfielder you are playing there as an emergency.

Yesterday after Hendo went off, we were playing our sixth and seventh choice CBs.

I’m pretty sure we would have brought in a CB in the summer in the moves out had materialised. We didn’t have the money, and I’m fine with that considering where we are and the nature of the global crisis we are living through.

I’m also fed up of the ‘we should have had players lined up on 1st Jan’ criticism as well. We have no idea what the market was like for us at that time. I’ve seen rumours we approached Shalke for Kabak in December but were told it was only a permanent sale at £30m. To be honest if I’m a club CEO and Liverpool approach me for a centre back in December, I’m doubling the price for these desperate pricks as well.

Too many people criticising with very little of the picture to go on.

Yeah. Dunning Kruger in full force on here at the moment.

I’ve never seen or heard of an injury crisis like it. It’s just crazy.

That said I would like to understand our problems up front. The injuries don’t help but there is other factors in play there as well. Its difficult to judge watching on TV. A penny for Klopps thoughts on that.

Sorry I’ve missed that. My questions still stand. How does institutional bias work? How many people are in on it, at how many levels? No whistleblowers?

I think what he means is that people in football have an existing antipathy towards Liverpool and the city and, perhaps even on an unconscious level, will demonstrate that bias.

It doesn’t need to be organised or conspiratorial. Just like companies don’t get their senior leadership together and say ‘so we’re not employing any black lads, right’. The bias exists at an unconscious level, and for that reason there are safeguards and checks in most recruitment processes to ensure it doesn’t happen.

Mind you, there was nothing unconscious about Kavanagh yesterday, the snide prick.

He looked pissed at having to go over to the monitor. I’m honestly more angry at that than I am the result now.

Thought that as well. I reckon it’s a typical case of a ref who thinks he’s above correction. The cursory glance at the monitor bears that out.

Interesting. So it’s subconscious rather than ‘an agenda’ that he keeps going on about?

No doubt we’ve had more decisions against us than for us. I think what you’ve said is probably one factor. Also we’re a ‘nice’ team and are never on the ref’s backs (like Trent yesterday). Also some of our players have a reputation. Media coverage may feed into this for the reason you’ve mentioned, but also Mo and Mane don’t help themselves at times
