well im in the UK at the moment and got tickets for the derby, first Liverpool game for the kids and what a game to see!
Gravenberch was great and hes better live than on the TV, thought Bradley struggled in moments, but was actually good in closing down Grealish and giving him nothing to work with, even when he was left one on oneā¦but he did struggle in other momentsā¦
bit nervy in the last twenty but happy as larry, just singing away in the annie road upperā¦

I think we were conserving energy after the 2nd goal but the problem is that is not our natural game and we find it hard to get going again.
The whole of the 2nd half was terrible to watch from our point of view but in reality they created nothing after their goal. Bradley getting some stick but Grealish didnāt get past him once, just kept cutting back and laying it off.
Gravenberch sensational again and Szoboslai is relentless, Iāve not been his biggest fan but heās been great so far this season. Ekiteke looks top class, reminds me a lot of Torres.
Much better from Kerkez today, won a couple of headers 2nd half that were vital.
Gakpo needs a kick up the arse, 2 games running heās basically stopped playing wanting a FK when no foul was committed.
MacAllister should be rested for the next 2 weeks at least, we have decent cover so let him rest up for a bit.

A lot of teams are going to hope we donāt hit top gear,Etikiti really looking goods,Grav,another top performance,Kerkez looking a lot better..and of course 5 from 5 isnāt a real shabby start.

thrilled with max points from the first 5 games. Be nice if the lads had closed up shop after going 2 up, and just make the opposition run more and thus tire them out

It almost felt like some fans expected us to steamroll and dominate every single side while winning.
The game is all about playing well enough to score more than the opposition before the final whistle. And thatās exactly what we did. Whether we did that by dominating for 5 minutes or 80 minutes, itās secondary. Of course Slot will need to find a reason for the drop offs we have after going 2 goals up in a few games now, but we did what champions do, we win regardless.

Itās also worth pointing out that Everton had a week to recover and train. We had already played 180 minutes of football since their last game.
There is no point straining at the leash when we are ahead against a fresher opponent.

If Trent was left alone to deal with Grealish I guarantee he would have been dribbled past at least three times and we would have conceded at least another goal.

I thought Kerkez had a really good game. I donāt think he has/we have worked out his attacking game but he was very solid. Some of the covering headers at the back post were excellent and of course he kept their new āstarā relatively quiet.

Our ability to fully manage games isnāt where Iād like it to be honest and itās been that way for years. Hi tempo, full gas, no issue but when itās time to kill the game we havenāt quite got it. PSG properly exposed that last year.
Something to work on I guess.
