I couldn’t believe Micah Richards said “Everton were very good”. It was almost an afterthought by him, as if someone was in his ear telling him to say something nice about Everton.

Is that the one at the end of the 1st half, that had no replay?

Agreed on the Konate call. Was an easy call

Just being used by haters to flog the narrative of LFC and VAR

Yeah. It was almost the last kick of the first half

It’s struggling to believe he has any thoughts

Not seen a replay and couldn’t understand why none was shown, it looked a good call for a pen at the time, but I still haven’t seen a replay of the incident

Apparently there was trouble before the game. Bottles thrown, a female fan and a Police Officer treated for injuries. Eight people arrested for various offences, including Hate and Tragedy chanting.

This.

You can understand Dych moaning. He lost a football match. But anyone giving credence to it obviously has an agenda. And that’s why I have quick glance at the headlines and 99.9% of the time don’t even bother reading. It’s all dumbed down. Nobody can pick apart a game, look at the tactics, explain what someone did right/wrong and the why’s and wherefores.

I blame the USA for Southpark, Beavis and Butthead and the rest of it. Huh huh.

Get all my footy info off here and TIA.

Can somebody explain why we didn’t get a pen for Diaz getting wiped out just before we got the hand ball? Seemed blatant to me.

It was saddening to see the empty upper stands.

Good result, decent match all round, not concerned with Pawson’s decisions that caused Dyche so much angst.looked OK to me.
Got to say the future is looking very bright, young players looking the goods,Gravenberch looking like an absolute steal, young Elliot, put in a good one when he appeared on the scene,Jones back after Forest.
All looking good,Gravenberch MOTM for mine.

Gravenberch started brightly but faded away, which seems the norm with him. However, he does look to have a very high ceiling and once Klopp starts doing his magic with him we could have another gem in our hands. He, Jones, Szoboszlai and Mac Allister, maybe Elliott as well, have the potential to form a world class midfield for years. And the best part is that all of them are in their early twenties.

Konaté should have been sent off with his second yellow. It was a clear interruption of the counterattack. it would not have mattered but it was a second yellow.

When I watched the highlights I assumed that was the penalty incident. There was no replay so I’ve no idea why not. Was there much of a VAR review at the time? It’s possible that it was clean from another angle.

It was not a penalty. Diaz pretty much fell over the defender when it was showed in slow motion
def close tho!

I thought this too and wandered maybe Diaz was trying to get out the way of the contact rather than letting the contact itself take him out, they defo got away with that 1. VAR angles really did no one any favours.

On the plus side it’s nice to see it coming along week by week or the time between games at Anfield. Gonna be well worth the wait for when it’ll eventually be fully ready.

Very unpleasant to hear.
