Have liked what I’ve seen of him so far in both games.
It’s clear we’re a side having to flush out all the shitty habits the last dud instilled into the side before we can see the real Liverpool under Iraola, because it looks like every player has a mistake in them, but our games are already more entertaining.

Mac was poor. He should’ve been booked after 2 mins after losing out and was lucky not to have have been shown a 2nd yellow later on for a late tackle, that’s not “bringing stability”
Agree with this except over Araujo and Jacquet. Jacquet is better in nearly all aspects of the game.
Many of us here have adopted the poor habits of imposing our preconceived notions of what a player should be doing.
Forest played well, but from playing behind the ball and never dominated midfield. Macca should never have received a YC. Even the commentators noted that.
We’ve hounded Gakpo out of the club. It seems like Macca and Frimpong are next in line.

He isn’t quick enough to track back, he isn’t athletic enough to win duels and dominate games (his part in Ndoye’s goal was embarrassing), his passing is good but largely overrated (he made one progressive pass in the final third of any quality), he barely takes a shot on these days. He’s just a bit of a ghost and I don’t see anything he does that Nyoni couldn’t do, other than maybe rolling around the floor crying like a softy whenver he gets touched.

Macca is the least of the problems we have at CM. Gravenberch and Szobo are the bigger headaches that we have especially if Szobo refuses to be a RB in the long term.
Gravenberch and Szobo have zero defensive awareness , poor positIoning and cannot make vertical forward passes under moderate pressure. The only way they know to progress the ball forward
is to run with it.
If Szobo meets a physically strong CM, he is fucked defensively. If Gravenberch decides to hold on the ball too long and gets dispossessed on his solo runs, he will accompany the runner but refuses to make a proper challenge. If both of them meets a low block to mid block, they will be unable to make any ball progression forward like we see in the season opener.
