If you class making daft fouls, and giving away passes putting the defence under pressure as bringing stability, then good on you. Mcatee ragdolled him the whole match. Besides one good pass to Gakpo in the first half, he was anonymous.
Probably worth pointing out that this result was a big improvement on the same fixture in the last two seasons.
Our switch to defensive play is poor. I expect it will improve with practice, but no one seems to know what their responsibilities are.
One big plus is that our fitness looked far better than last season. We looked stronger than the Forest players by the end. Last season everyone looked gassed after 60 minutes.
And as far as the refereeing is concerned, if it was the other way around, there is no way that goal is scratched by VAR and that penalty wouldn’t have been given. When Oliver is on VAR you can predict that he will find a way to screw us over (I did).
Maybe that’s fan paranoia, but everyone said the same about Coote and it transpired that he was a racist nonce.

This is true, but he needs to be more assertive in the game as well.
He didn’t give it and therefore couldn’t over rule it. There was clear contact. As I said earlier, Stevie G agreed it was a definite penalty. You can argue about the two goals but not the penalty…
He didn’t bring any stability, weak at piss on the first goal too. Look at the state of him.
I watch other teams, supposedly less gifted, give their all, chase lost causes, stay switched on and keep a disciplined shape.
Do some of our players think they are above the hard work and dirty side of the game?
Are they paid to much and life too easy?
My solution; incentivise their pay by docking them wages when they dont track a player, switch off, shirk a tackle and make an error that leads to a goal.
Then incentivise them for tracking players, making last ditch blocks or tackles, goal line clearances and never giving up.
I know what I have said is load of bollox, 1st time for me 
but it feels that they don’t want to give that extra bit for the badge or the fans but may do for the money,

I think it’s not entirely unexpected to have unpredictable results like this, especially in the beginning of a new era and the end of such a previously successful one.
And all of us should be patient about the team learning the new processes, getting fit enough to play in the heavy metal style that we all love.
Having said that, the obvious things should be taken care of. Hughes or whoever else is in charge need to absolutely give Andoni the right tools to do his job. This squad is materially undercooked. Not only do we have holes in the starting 11 we have a very very thin bench. I am all for giving the academy players the chance, but they have to be ones that can make some sort of a difference while at the same time gaining experience. Given all of that, the transfer activity has frankly been woefully inadequate.
So I’m gonna be patient with this project because the team isn’t fully composed yet. And that maybe okay because we didn’t get the likes of Salah and Mané and Van Dijk and Ali and Fabinho all at once, it took a couple of seasons before the ensemble was completed. But we cannot be taking backwards steps like selling the likes of Diaz and buying players like Frimpong for right back when he’s absolutely not fit to be a right back.
More so Munoz, over Rio. But yes, it isnt working with a double pivot of CMs, we need a 6. Which then leads to the problem of Wirtz, which is you cannot have a 6 and have him at 10.
Maybe we needed to get Hendo back to set the tone in training and match days
That is why I am calling for us to get Lamine Camara/Manu Kone to ensure our midfield will not get bullied if any team goes long!

Even in the 1hf when we were poor, he stabilized the CM position. The creativity could’ve been better but that’s more from not getting Wirtz involved

Milly was the one and supposedly he is still mentioned at the AXA for how he set the standards.
Hendo was also excellent, I reckon he learnt a lot from Milly in that respect, but he was also a great lieutenant on the pitch for Klopp.
But yes we need role models like them.
