Just a thought on the game and watching the highlights, their keeper was outstanding today, kept the score respectable

Good. Let them underestimate us as much as possible.

This. That. Was. Brilliant. It’s like everyone, including Slot on the touch line, played with the handbrake off and just went out to play football the way they know how to. That’s the Liverpool we know, that’s the Liverpool we love. To Mr Slot, just let the boys play and forget the pedestrian shit that we’ve somehow adopted this season. Hard, fast and at them. We’ve had a fair few changes but thats what the team does best.

I think we’ll all be highly disgruntled if we’re treated to walking football again over the weekend.

That was like a breath of fresh air. Play like that til the end of the season and no matter where the chips fall , Slot has a chance of keeping his job. Shame it took this fucking long for the penny to drop.

Agreed.

I’d much rather we were all highly gruntled.

I would guess that it was the effect of Anfield booing him and the players that led to Slot going away from his original approach for this match.

One swallow doesn’t make a summer; Gakpo is back against Brighton and we’ll be playing not to lose rather than to win – mark my words.

Florian Wirtz is a Rolls Royce of a footballer. Some of his touches and passes behind the lines were exquisite. When Isak comes back into the fold and gets on the end of some of these chances Wirtz creates look out everyone else.

Wow night and day that one.

I should watch it back to try to understand what was different tactically, other than effort.

Dunno if anyone has any insights

I’ll save you time and use one word

Intensity!

What did Gakpo do for the first 80 odd minutes and Konate was at fault - for something, I’m sure. Also Salah, did absolutely nothing for the last 10 minutes or so! The sky fell already.

I didn’t see the game because I was travelling back from holiday, but I was really happy to see the score. I can’t comment on the performance but it sounds like it was our best of the season. Some people also tell me that the crowd actually turned up last night, which makes a change.

I assume that this was the part of the plan last summer they were working to when the signings were being made?

Must be the same advertising board that injured Leoni.

Someone isn’t happy…

“Looking at Osimhen’s position, we saw that Konate was able to commit these fouls very easily, he could easily apply any kind of foul,” Buruk said.

“While we were expecting the best referee in the world, perhaps one of the worst referees officiated the game.”

Clever move by Konate, to take him out of the game with a knee to the wrist…

If I’d had a drink every time one of their players went down, rolling about, I’d have been legless. Though I do feel sorry for Lang. That, at least, seemed a genuine injury.
