Post match: Liverpool v Leeds Utd (EPL 29/10/22 7.45pm)

Contract ends this season. Guessing the contract was extended by a season or two.

His contract is up in the summer, he will leave and will probably go back to Southampton once theyā€™re relegated.

That is the issue with playing a left footer on the right side of midfield and vice versa on the left side of midfield

Well the League was what I was referring to, but I canā€™t say Iā€™m brimming with confidence about the cups either!

I guess spending money on Diaz and Nunez doesnā€™t count.

We couldnā€™t do that last year when we were on song. What makes you think we can do it now?

Thatā€™s what drugs does to people.

You know the saying kids.

Well we sold Mane, Minamino, Williams and Origi left on a free.
Surely you wanted replacements.

Be that as it may but in our current form ā€¦ I get it that the (football)world could look differently in Februari when the CL continuous but call me not overly optimistic something that should not surprise anyone :ghost:

I remember our team in 2005, we were playing crap in the EPL and we won big ears, just saying.

Do you understand how the squad system works going by that comment its a no. Of those listed 1 never played and 2 made 17 league appearances between them.

I said it then and I say it now again. I still think Klopp defends his employers from criticism. I think his window to operate in economically is not as all as wide as many seem to think. Could we have bought a player even so ? Probably if Klopp had insisted that we are truly in dire need. But that is political capital and I think he had to be dead sure and come hat in hand to Henry to get enough money to actually sign a very good player and that this would have a cost for the future. But he should have, particularly when we see the injuries. But I donā€™t believe even for a split second that Klopp can buy the players he thinks he wants. Not for one split second. Our owner is a venture capitalist who is out to make money on Liverpool FC, not a state coffer run by a Sheik as a hobby.

I completely understand your response in reference to ā€œhonoursā€, However, it is a concern how far our performanceā€™s have dropped off. In the CL we got pulled apart by Napoli, and were second best to Rangers/Ajax (away) for the first 30mins. In the league, we are losing to Forest and Leeds, i am not the one to be melodramatic but I definitely have concerns.

I just donā€™t understand so called Liverpool fans taking owners side for lack of investment in the squad. We are being outspent by most of the premier league clubs.

I have concerns, too. We are obviously nowhere near our best; our defence is all over the place and the midfield a shambles. Our forwards couldnā€™t hit the proverbial cowā€™s arse with a banjo.

But they havenā€™t just become bad players overnight. Give it time and things will improve, as long as we refresh the midfield asap.

In all likelihood, weā€™ve got no chance. Howeverā€¦

The sort of performance we put in against Man City gives me hope.

World Cup break, regroup, and letā€™s see.

I have been watching Liverpool as long as I can remember and I have seen worse. I nearly slit my wrists watching the Hodgson era.
