Post match: Liverpool v Leeds Utd (EPL 29/10/22 7.45pm)

He could run straight ahead regardless of his foot choice, he passed to the side where 5 players had gathered in unison for equally no apparent reason.

Some of the teams Souness put out were pretty dire, too.

Itā€™s hard to take after Klopp taking us to the top over the last few years.

So but did money not get spent.

Problem was Hodgson had largely a championship team and had 20m to spend that summer. Alonso had fucked off, as did Masch and Torres didnā€™t give a fuck.

This team Iā€™d say is just about a top 4 side, the results and performances are worstā€¦12 games played and being behind Fulham and Brighton is unacceptable.

No club Doctor since August is a fucking joke and 18 players injured already this season.

@Draexnael may not be, but I certainly will. There was a ball that came off one of our players in the first half and was rolling not too quickly towards the touchline on the King Kenny side of the pitch. It started no more than 5 metres from Trent who stood still and watched it roll away. Meantime Mo sprinted at least thirty metres and just didnā€™t manage to keep it in. Trent could easily have made it.
Itā€™s not just today either. Many times this season folk around me have been screaming for Trent to put some effort in on getting back.
Iā€™m not singling him out for criticism in tonightā€™s performance. Others were just as culpable but he is certainly not above being criticised.
Another culprit is Ali. FFS buy a pair of boots with studs in. Iā€™m fecking sick to death of our players slipping. It p155ed down this morning here on The Wirral. A lot of junior games were called off. My Grandsonā€™s under 10s game went ahead. They played two halves of twenty five minutes on a pitch on a school playing field. Not one of those kids slipped on their arse. We have multiple players slipping in numerous games every fecking season. Opposition players donā€™t seem to slip like ours do. What the feck are they doing wrong? :rage:

This is worrying, this could be one of the problems but not the main ones. I am really surprised LFC have not found an excellent doctor willing to come to LFC, unless they are not offering good salary. We have the state of the art facilities at Kirkby.

Lots of other negative stuff on social media about our owners regarding cutting costs, remember the fans had to protest to stop them rising season ticket prices.

It often seems that he can not be bothered with defending, that his head is somewhere else.

It seems to me that he went from a nice young man to a somewhat arrogant bloke who thinks he is entitled ā€¦

Well at least that is the impression he is giving me lately.

Iā€™m out, just remember owners come and go but fans stay always so support the club first. Good nite.

Where did you see this?

Whether Fab is carrying a knock or not, he is taking two to three touches (has he made a first time pass this season? And if so, was it to our player?) and this is really slowing movement down. I canā€™t actually recall a player playing for us that had so little confidence than what Fab is displaying right now. We need a backup to him because right now we are playing him as we have no-one else and its clear he needs to step away for a bit and get his head straight. And not just Fab, but this is where we need to improve across the team.

Confidence is just so poor across the board. We have gone from losing the league on the final day and making the CL final to, 9 weeks later going 2 draws and a loss to start the season. Thatā€™s some form nose dive, and something completely being overlooked by the majority in here who are in their blinkered ā€˜spend!ā€™ discussions.

This team needs tinkering with personnel, absolutely. We need better second options so that we can allow an out-of-form player to be taken out of the team when needed. But we also need to not be hasty with what is still a superb and quite large core. Wholesale changes we donā€™t need. We need to take time finding the correct changes, finding the correct way to play that suits our formation, find our form again and try to reset for next season.

This season is a write off. I raised my eyebrows earlier in the week when I saw posts such as ā€˜just get top 4 and see how much higher we can goā€™ as if we currently look in any position to get top 4. I donā€™t think we will reach that unfortunately. But whatever we get, sort it all out in this car crash of a year and be ready for the next with a set of players that are fit, still hungry, confident and tactically look competent.

Yep. I wanted us to lose every game so he got fired.
This is different. We need reinforcements as I said in match threadā€¦we went for the lad from Monaco, didnā€™t get him so gotā€¦.no one.
We then brought in another injury prone player in a panic loan andā€¦.heā€™s out for 4 months.
The summer was a complete shit show.

Hodgson didnā€™t have a PL, a CL, and almost a quadruple as credit in the bank

At least we won in the areas that matter (Possession, xG and top of the fair play - no bookings)

Except for NĆŗƱez.

Talking of bookings/sendings off etc. The lad who scored Leedsā€™ winner had a right go at the linesman on the main stand side of the field for giving a corner when he believed it should have been a goal kick. Why wasnā€™t he sent off? I thought that it was a sending off offence nowadays?
Today in the LC v City game Jamie Vardy clearly told the ref to f*ck off twice. The ref put a finger to his lips to tell him to shut up. This is why I hate officials. Thereā€™s just no consistency. :rage:
