Post match: Liverpool v Leeds Utd (EPL 29/10/22 7.45pm)

If he genuinely thinks he was at fault for that (which deep down in his heart he knows he wasn’t, and I know he knows he wasn’t) then yes.

First thing you get taught as a defender is don’t play a blind pass sideways, never mind fucking backwards.

A shit pass is a shit pass, Ali’s position was where any keeper would be in that situation.

Gomez assist.

So you know what Alisson Becker privately thinks now? Is there no end to your insight.

I’ll file it with Harvey Elliott being out of his depth at this level.

Gomez isn’t blameless, but I think Ali shoulders is more of the blame. I watched that goal quite a lot, and regardless of the wisdom of playing a square pass back to the keeper, Ali should still have got to it.

Out of curiosity, are you the only 1 that thinks Ali was to blame?

Stop for a minute and look around what others are saying.

It just makes me sick loosing to these relegation teams.
Can we play City every week from now on?

From what I have seen, the overwhelming majorirty including media seem to place more of the blame on Gomez. Not that it really matters where the blame lies. We conceded in a situation we shouldn’t have and that was very frustrating. Just because someones thinks Gomez is more culpable doesn’t mean they have an agenda to bash Gomez. I certsinly don’t.

So, were now closer to the relegation zone than 4th spot.
Sounds bad, but this can still be a good season.
All we need to do is get rid of the 11 who played against Forrest, and the 11 who played today.

Get our miserly owners to put their hands in the coffers, because they clearly never fucking have, and replace the aforementioned absolute shite players.

Then we can show em, and win the league cup.

Nah keep Alisson he has been ok. Kelleher is fine as well, goalkeepers we are sorted.

Actually scrap that every player I praise has a crap game so no they’ve all been rubbish bin them all.

Nope.
He slipped like a Brazilian Gerrard.
Get rid.

That was a heartbreaker of a game. Even though our defense isn’t up to par and our midfield isn’t clicking, I put a lot of the blame on our strikers not being able to find the net even though chances were there. Especially Darwin N., who just seems to power kick every ball in without looking up to see where a gap may exist. The jury is still out on his Star power. He needs more finesse in his goal scoring.

Loosing to a bottom 3 team means one thing. We are smashing spurs next week.

Here’s to hoping for this season, otherwise it’s for next season.
We have good players who are not playing at there best in a system that doesn’t suit them. As i keep saying this is going to be a long season. :slightly_frowning_face:

Big ears or bust this season I guess.

Grim result and performance. Beaten by the two worst sides in the division in recent weeks. Unbelievable how easy it is to play through them nowadays. Fuck knows how we fix this without major personnel changes.

Gerrards looking for work.
Maybe time to get rid of Klopp

Here are yesterday’s match stats:

And here are those from last week:

In both games, we completed more passes, had a higher pass completion rate, had more shots, more possession and more corners. We had more shots on target than Leeds and the same number as Forest. In short, we were the better team in both games.

Maybe we should be asking why we have only scored one paltry goal from 37 shots, 17 of which have been on target? The defence isn’t the only issue here.

We still can not score, start taking long pot shots. Just can not get any worst!

Klopp saying that he’s happy with the squad doesn’t mean that he is happy with the squad. It also doesn’t mean that he’s lying to protect the owners.
What’s he supposed to say in a press conference?
From day one Klopp has talked about working with what we have but he then proceeded to ship most of the players out and replaced them with much better players.
I’ve got no doubts that behind the scenes he would be pushing for more signings and more money.
Mourinho comes out and publicly criticises owners and players and complains about lack of signings and that usually ends in him being sacked and hated by the fans. I don’t think Klopp wants that.
