Post match: Liverpool v Leicester (EPL 30/12/22 8pm)

After the Villa game we signed Gakpo, after this game I hope there is breaking news that we signed Bellingham, Enzo, and Caceido.

No but if 2/3rds of your midfield is shit, it’s fair to say you have a shit midfield no?

if we can get two now and then the big BIG ONE in the summer, that would be great

At least VVD is honest during the interview, and tells the truth: not good enough tonight.

i want some

did he have his arm around faes??

And when we’re defending find a way to close the gap between the CB and the FB on his side to less than 50 yards. Lots of bagging on Hendo for their goal for getting beaten, but there is no way a CM can beat his guy there and run in on goal unopposed. The spacing on the defense was pathetic. And something similar happened in the second half with Ianacho (I think) getting in behind

Not good enough but I do think the defence deserved some credit as they did very little bar the early goal.

Alisson came out very well.

Carragher and Neville both wearing gloves, pair of pussies.

We’ve basically fluked six points from our last two games. Another three at Brentford and a new midfielder thrown in and I might be thinking about CL next year.

Fuck we were shit though.

Positives - Trent’s defending, Nunez endeavor and attitude and commitment and desire to win. Thiago being everywhere on the pitch. Naby and Kostas both looked good after coming on. Faes.

Negatives - Won’t go into it but hopefully nothing serious where Robbo and Harvey are concerned.

And do you know what, if we were top of the league, it would be said that is the sign of champions playing poorly and winning. However we aren’t top of the league and we were poor, still the better team though.

You’re right, we aren’t top of the league and we aren’t even in top 4.

Because we’ve played poorly 80% of the season.

a win is a win,

no matter how we get it.

(looking at the positives and ignoring the poor performance)

The boys need to put serious passing work into their next training sessions. Either that, or have the team checked for color blindness. Too frustrating to watch the Reds consistently missing basic passes.

Until they start handing out style points this is 100% true.

Certainly will have to play better to win the next one

TTA , Leicester took us by surprise. its seems that most teams are taking us by surprise, playing around us. its clear the intensity is lacking we are not hunting in packs our midfield is trying to rest when the other team has the ball rather than win the ball . Casiedo would be a good start or Valverde. Kiieta did well the pass to Nunez was a beauty and he should have scored .

Especially at 6 am. There were a few thoughts of self reflection during the game. As in wtf am I doing?
