I thought the result did matter today and I’m not saying that just because we won. I’m hoping this might be the year when Guardiola gets sick of the relentlessness of it all and we needed to let him know it’s going to be another long hard season and we did.
Nunez was very impressive. 4 chances in 30 minutes shows he’s getting in the right areas and at last we have someone who can give us a different kind of threat. Not only that but his work rate was excellent. Really looking forward to see what Klopp can do with him.

Matip really doesn’t get enough credit for how good he is.
He Thiago and Darwin no doubt the motm’s…fullbacks were very good although Mahrez caused Robbo a few issues…everyone else played their part in putting in a spirited shift.
Never knew how nice the community shield actually looked, defo a major trophy in my eyes…if the UEFA super cup is 1, why can’t this be?

Mane we can speak about a bit differently, he is all that…one of the best wide men we’ve ever seen, but but buuuut…his time has come and gone…& we got Diaz now.
No reason at all why Diaz can’t produce the same numbers and perform at the same level Mane had.
