Post match: Liverpool v Man City (EPL 11/10/26 4.30pm)

He attacked the assistant with his Adam’s Apple. Nearly took the poor assistant’s elbow off.

The yellow card for Araujo didn’t help as he didn’t fancy getting another yellow and they exploited the situation of us going one man down, there were three or 4 of their forwards overlapping on Araujo and even when we doubled up on Doku, Cherki and Haaland exploited the holes we left. Everything hinged on the yellow cards no blame should be piled on our players for the so called collapse they had far superior players than us on the bench as well, we didn’t.

Brilliant! Now I know why you got poster of the year!

So another one to add to Coote for hating Klopp.

I beg to differ

My missus is so detached from football she had to ask whether Haaland played for us or not (which makes no sense, why would he ask for a yellow card for his own teammate…wifey was just looking at me and nodding )

Whereas @Limiescouse 's significant other actually admired Haaland

Conclusion: @Limiescouse is married to @Rambler

Agree… also of note is Araujo played timid afrer the yellow card because of his reputation to make dumb plays and get red cards, when he was at Barca.

He doesn’t want a repeat of that at Liverpool. Now that he found a home with us.

I am unsure if it is just me, over the years whenever our right back/wing back has taken a bad touch with his first touch of the ball or been booked early, we go on to have a bad disjointed performance or bad result,
I started to notice years ago all the way back to mcateer.

A lot of it has been lost as I’ve lost interest in the game in general.

Kavanagh always did his best work on VAR. They all had their own ways of fucking us over if you took the trouble to watch them closely over the years. Taylor used to ‘miss’ a lot of important incidents that should have gone in our favour. He would constantly get called to the screen (when there was a competent VAR) and have to change his decision in our favour. The Pogba sending off at OT, the Reece James handball and sending off at Anfield, the Mane winner v Wolves at Anfield when he initially gave hand-ball against Lallana and who can forget the Kompany foul on Salah in the game that ultimately cost us the title? (pre-VAR). There will be more that escape me right now, i’m pretty sure of that.
As for Kavanagh, like I said, he was always quite fair ON the pitch which surprised me when he sent Grav off at the weekend. The 2-2 at Spurs when he was VAR, didn’t advise the other cheat Tierney to take another look when Jota was bundled over in the area, didn’t advise him to take another look at the Kane tackle on Robbo but did advise him to send Robbo off later in the game. The Rodri hand-ball at Goodison with the same 2 fucking cheats in the same roles. The 24 Carabao Cup Final he was ref when Caisedo put Gravenberch out early on, should have been a straight red but fuck all given. Again there will be many others that escape me right now.
Kavanagh is a fucking cheat. I’ve known it for years. But because he supports Droylesden it’s all ok.

There was quite a bit of police presence at Lime Street station after the “match” with some drunken City fans chanting loudly.

Another ref who thinks 60k people pay good money to see him officiating - if that’s what it was.

There was one move where Nyoni zipped it through the lines into Wirtz, Wirtz then played it inside the full back for Barcola, and Barcola ran through and got the shot off.

Was almost exactly what I have been wanting to see us do. That Nyoni to Wirtz play and Wirtz making an incisive pass to a forward.

Wrong thread?,

so very wrong. FFS

Statement: Kerkez does not have sufficient skills on the ball to play for us or any other big teams.

But yet he locks down his side defensively 1 v 1

Which is why most teams target our right .
