Motm impossible today. I switched so often during the game : Jota, Milner, Mo…VvD, Gomez…if evil powers would force me i’d give it to Ali. Fantastic presence in the very few moments he was needed and a world class assist. A great amongst greats today.

Can’t agree with this at all. Yes he’s raw and decision making is still poor. But he ran at that city defence time after time and dragged us up the pitch forcing city back. I don’t think he lost a 1v1?

It’s not the same. The fact they had more shots doesn’t mean anything; we had the better chances. This wasn’t a smash and grab executed by a lesser opponent. This team has gone head to head with them for years and they’ve proven that they are just as good. In fact, in the last 5 against them we are undefeated, winning three and drawing two.
If there was any justice and the rules were implemented, they wouldn’t even be in the same stratosphere as we are.

Literally everyone was at bare minimum great, exactly what we need. Bar a few mistakes, which is always going to happen, the entire team played as a team. Perfect result.
Darwin made two bad decisions as far as goal opportunities, however he was a threat on the break and got the better of their defenders a few times.
Anyone who has previously suggested we sell Milner or not renew his contract, should study this game and then think twice about posting such malarkey. He played the perfect game vs Punchable face.
Now, this MUST continue, two excellent games in a row, we have found the swell, let’s get to the crest and ride the wave home.
