Pep babble below

"The referee said played on, played on, played on, there were a thousand million fouls like this and this one is because we scored a goal. So they disallowed because we scored a goal, otherwise it would not have been disallowed.

"We lost because we make a mistake but this is Anfield.

“The crowd tried [to throw coins/objects] but they didn’t touch me. Maybe next time they will be better.”

Micah. He’s got a handful of shirt. It’s so clear. Give it a rest. It should have been a foul there and then not minutes later.

Not sure why Klopp was sent off when Pep and his assistants tried to crowd Taylor on the VAR.

Credit at least for going to listen to Darren England on VAR you wonder if Oliver didn’t.

Unless that is England was awake. Anyhow glad it was a obvious tug of the shirt, a coming together and it probably doesn’t get given, fact he holds on to it means it has to be.

Absolutely delighted, VAR is made for those moments.

As for the game it’s one of the best we’ve played, first half and up to 60 mins I was very happy, lost our way a bit after but the run in on goal I was like please Salah

Strangely for all our defensive issues it was attack that was blunt today, anyhow system is starting to get results and the confidence should now be rising it’s time to start picking up a few results to keep us in the top 4 race and book our place in the CL last 16.

I knew we weren’t as shit as we had felt we had been.

Gomez was excellent and fair dues Milner delivered today, at times he was caught but Gomez and Fabinho covered and Elliott tracked back (probably his best game in that sense).

Only downside is Jota, at worst let’s hope it means he comes back December though I would like the lad to go to the World Cup.

I didn’t criticised his strength and pace. I was criticising his decision-making. If he got 1 right, Fabio or Salah would have scored our second.

Nunez should’ve saved his headbutt for Bernardo

massive 3 points . great team efforts . salah ran his socks off as everyone else .
harvey can link but he cant defend , nunez i love him but he needs to calm down he wants to prove a point and this not helping his overall game we could have been 2 -3 up if he lifted his head . we need midfielders with quality physicality and experience we need investment to compete in this league

‘The crowd tried to throw objects’

FT: Liverpool 1-0 Man City

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "This is Anfield, every time you come here lately unfortunately this is Anfield.

"We played a really good game but this is a game where there are really fine margins and the mistakes are punished. We made a mistake and we cannot concede and that’s why we lost the game.

"We played to beat Liverpool today, definitely we played for that. After 1-0 the crowd shouted but we shouted more on the pitch.

Fraudiola

Because it distracts from our overall performance.

Weasel tv…ya lost…now f***off…I have changed list to lost…but it won’t change…

Manuel Akanj on a yellow. Pulls back a player when we’re on a break - a decision to make.

But as said player doesn’t go down, useless ref waves play on. Move stops stright away.

Sky didn’t even mention it.

I thought he did excellently in the first half tracking down lot of players and being there whenever he was needed

That’s because they mistook the lights shining off your head for a begging bowl. Cunt.

For the money we paid we need vastly more than that.

I don’t agree with the crowd throwing bottles and coins at the opposition, even if he is the manager of our current rivals. we are better than that!! It is wrong.
