We’ll Keane’s wrong about that, isn’t he?
Pretty much what I’m trying to say…
nothing wrong with what VVD said, keane is just a prick…
I think hes looking for arguments yet again. VVD said nothing wrong
Well I was right. 5/1 the draw were very generous odds.
It seems like every time we come away with a poor result, it’s “we knew it would be difficult” same was said about Luton.
It really shouldn’t have been difficult for us, Brighton and City were difficult, as was Spurs given the circumstances, we have much better players in every department. Go and fucking take the game to them and stop fucking about. Every man and his dog know what they’re gonna do. We made it difficult for ourselves just like we did at Luton given how utterly FUCKING SHIT both teams are. Taking 400 touches around the box before getting a shot away, I mean come on.
all true… but we have not been good for a few games now especially our midfield and attackers
I know what you’re saying but leaving that ball is as bad as any of his misses. For me thats our best chance we should have had distance and unguarded goal.
I agree with the first sentence. As far as our best chance gets, I’d say it’s up there with the two headers from close range, that should have been buried. Both a CB (Konate) and a Forward (Gakpo) should know how to bury those. But yes, Nunez should have as well…
Fucking hell…
I’ve seen about four videos spouting some form of ‘Utd have something to build on’.
Feel worse now.
The second City dropped points we weren’t winning this today.
We’ve got out of jail with late goals a few times recently but our luck finally ran out on that front. It’s not a disaster but it’s the kind of game we should be putting to bed comfortably if we have real title aspirations.
Lots of chopping and changing and it’s making us look disjointed. Tough time of year to be picking up injuries but I still don’t get how we end up with Gakpo and Trent in midfield with Jones and Elliott on the bench. Almost like we’re trying to be too clever.
Serious questions about Nunez at this point. He’s just not doing enough for me and when he does get chances he’s not prolific enough. We really need to see more from him, not just someone who’s there for the vibes.
Arsenal game is now huge but we can’t take West Ham as a given either.
We were very unlucky at times as Klopp said last year when we won 7:0 the GK saves fell to one of our players who scored but today it fell to one of theirs and as usual when we play a low block team we get frustrated and take the wrong decisions this season it is going to be very competitive and if we keep our heads and get Jota and McAllister back you never know
Well bollocks. We huffed and puffed but mostly played it in front of a packed Man Utd. Not incisive enough, not enough clear chances, even if we did dominate the play.
Mo has lost a couple of steps but is, by a distance, still our most reliable source of goals.
It’s not clicking with Nunez and he will be lucky if he doesn’t do a stint on the bench.
Diaz isn’t quite what he was before injury either, to my eye.
Lots of food for thought.
He isn’t going to become Suarez.
Grim.
Utd are so bad, and we never really troubled them.
Losing patience with Nunez, definite downgrade on Firmino.
I reckon we’ll be shopping for a quality number 9 next summer.
Thank fuck we have Allison otherwise we’d be talking about a defeat here.
People have really unrealistic expectations of what it looks like for an attacking player to player a team with 11 men behind the ball 35 yards from goal. These are not games that allow attackers to look good. They are games that if you want to produce something you’re going to have to force things and do a lot that looks wrong. We created a fair amount today given how negative Utd were - 3 DMs and a striker who was so deep he was indistinguishable from McTominay. We should be critical of the fact we spurned decent chances in a game they were always going to be at a premium. But we dont need these over reactions abou what it means about players in general or the quality of our title run.
Utd were very cute in not giving any free kicks around the box. Their defensive line was along the 18 yard box which allowed for bugger all space behind. It pisses me to say it, but their tactics worked. They would have worked against most teams. What we needed was an early break - perhaps we should have gone harder at the start. Perhaps we could have really mixed things up selection-wise to confuse them.
He was brilliant from his very first game, and he was 2 years younger than Darwin then. Still holding out hope for Nunez, but he’ll never be comparable to Suarez
More Emile Heskey.
As much as it was frustrating, I can’t say I blame United for their – we’d have done the same if the shoe was on the other foot.
Thing is, you can still get around a parked bus, and we were nowhere near good enough to do it. It wasn’t like Onana had to make any top saves, all of them were straight at him.
