Post match: Liverpool v Man Utd (EPL 5/1/25 4.30pm)

If the weather affected us that badly, maybe better not watch for the next couple of months.

Real Madrid will not have bid without some encouragement from Trent’s camp.

All teams have had their slump and lost points earlier in the season, while we were racking up the points. But it seems that we are now having our problems too. Let’s see how it goes, but January and February are traditionally difficult months for us. So, hopefully we won’t pay a too heavy price, fingers crossed.

And what will you do if it’s tactical instructions? I find it hard to believe that all season he’s shown that he can play exactly the defensive game that Arne wants, moving to the positions he’s being told to take up from the sidelines, and that’s somehow his doing, as if the first few times wasn’t enough?

Nunez was awful when he came on also.

I dont think its the performance folks are mad about, its the lack of effort especially in the defensive part of the field

I see that line all the time, but where’s the evidence? It’s not as though things like unsolicited offers haven’t happened before.

Maybe a little bit of complacency on the players side i think?

All week this has been hyped up by all as a home win, and whilst we all revelled in it, and as bad as Utd are/have been, they were always going to show up in some form.

Weather didn’t help either.

No excuses though, will take that point

I wouldn’t know apart because of my stream, but there was one moment when he had space to run into, but Gravenberch held on to the ball for too long, and then after that he seemed to disappear for the rest of that play…

How many more poor first halves are we going to play before we get it?

They stepped up 30% we slipped by the same amount. Could have been 2 up early first half #luck.

It could be getting really ugly with the Anfield crowd in the stadium with TAA.

2-1 up and he does stupid shit like giving the ball away needlessly when we needed control that led to their second goal. This is not even Vice-Captain material and Klopp was absolutely wrong in promoting TAA as VC too fast and too soon.

Conor Bradley comes in and shores in the RHS immediately and manages to nutmeg a United defender in the opposition box.

Let TAA play the EFL and FA cup match and subs for Bradley after 60 minutes…

Only Gakpo & Salah comes out unscathed from this…

Not about the performances mate. It’s the careless attitude which infuriates people. He was so cocky like he got a hattrick and we are sailing through. Won’t give a shite if he leaves. Happy with people who want to stay - Salah and VVD

That 45 was the worst of the season.

But that’s what I mean, this is literally our standard play. It’s always been like this for as far as I can remember, even under Jürgen. Why are people criticising him for something he’s been quite clearly coached to do?

So either I’m missing something from before Konaté went wide to cover that man, or people are just getting worked up from things that aren’t directly related…

I am really not getting anything worth defending him these last few games. The effort is there but how is that enough for someone who is our key striker.

The Kane attempt was ridiculous too; watching the defender and trying to block him… and then he was laughing at the decision.

Remember Nottingham

We are 2 - 1 up and he isn’t where he should be RB, Konate has just come back from injury, so keep shape and settle in possession, but no Trent was all over the place, if you can’t see the issue then that is beyond me.

Maybe Trent is telling us he wants out this month. :grinning:
