The forum is getting annoyed that I’m only replying to you but who cares. I don’t.
I think we still have a decenct core squad when/if VVD and Gomez come back. So feel we can get through this with the same type of purchasing we have seen (outside the VVD and Alisson notable hike ups). The position I feel we really need to look at is that of Firmino. Then for that we need to hang on to Salah and Mané if they get itchy or twitchy we are in big shit.

I thought we played quite well. It is our front 3 or 4 who couldn’t score, thus we dropped points imho. We should have had at least 5 goals in the first half.
Maybe we need a a change up front and have some fresh blood in the squad and some new ideas.
Our top 4 place is in the other teams hands now, if they drop points, then, maybe we have a chance, but not sure now. We just got to hope abit and have the gods on our side in the next 6 games.

i agree. but no matter how good our defense is with vvd and gomez back, it wont matter if we cant score. and dont underestimate the absence of Gini long-term… people can say what they want but curtis will not be able to fill that role and brighton is looking upwards of 40 million to sell their DM

We lack leaders on the pitch. The most influential being Hendo. It’s completely unacceptable since many have been here for years now. You don’t need only Hendo to be constantly shouting and motivating you. Robbo, Mane, Salah, Bobby, Gini should be the ones lifting the team. No one leads the defence, neither the midfield. VVD came on the first day and took charge of the defence. Leading the line, shouting and telling players… that’s lacking throught the team from front to back.
I also don’t think lack of fans for this team to perform can be an excuse anymore. I know it affects our team the most, but this isn’t something new anymore. It’s been a while we have been playing without fans now. Doesn’t justify missing chances after chances.
Defence has been poor, but with the number of injuries at the back, it’s given we’ll be much more susceptible at the back. I would have understood if the team created less chances due to focusing more on defense, but that’s not the case either. It’s a lack of ruthlessness, lack of fear that you’ll be dropped given the lack of necessary cover/ Klopp keeping you on perhaps because the others aren’t trustworthy enough or whatever, the tiredness, lack of concentration and being so rusty throughout games now… can’t see how Klopp fixes this. Very difficult anything is happening this season, but simply unacceptable this.
