Post match: Liverpool v Newcastle (EPL 24/4/21 12.30pm)

I’m a bit meh about players wanting to leave when I watched the same players somehow miss obvious chances, we had at least four chances that should be in the net, not half chances or good ones, but nailed on ones.

True that but when he is literally this season’s top goalscorer for the club with 20 PL goals while Mane and Jota has managed 8 goals each. It is safe to say that he hasn’t fuck up as much as his colleagues this PL season!

but if player want to go? u let em go…

But one parameter he needs to look at is injury prone-ness. No point getting a world-class footballer if he is absent 70% of the time!

Sure. But the reality is top players want to play Champions League. To win trophies you need top players. To recruit the best by and large you need to be competing at the top.

Not suggesting some players might look elsewhere but you never know. Secondly some players the club are looking to extend contracts might ask for higher wages in lieu of this season and what the next few seasons bring. It’s not clear cut as frustrating this season has been.

i think at least two midfielders… as much as i love milly, he aint a solution. Gini is leaving, so that leaves hendo, curtis, milly and thiago… see i didnt even include keita there because thats been a disaster. Out of those four the only starting midfielder against top opposition is hendo and maybe thiago on a good day

agree, but chelsea and man u have managed to sign top players without CL… to be honest there are very good players out there that are jus begging for a chance on the big stage… we dont have to go big game hunting, jus need to hunt wisely and we will be fine. look at the two defenders we almost signed in january before kabak… they are not well known but are very good players who really wanted to play for us. so dont need big names to be honest… edwards knows what he is doing. we will be fine as long as money is there

Saved by VAR for once in the 92nd minute. Conceded in the 94th anyway because we can’t go a week without spreading joy and laughter to rival fans.

The last 10 minutes would have been comical if they weren’t actually so fucking terrible. What is Robertson doing for their second? Why the hell didn’t Klopp use his third sub? What the fuck were they doing collectively? They get a huge reprieve with VAR, there is a minute and a half left and they still can’t hold out?

Then again we shouldn’t have been in this position to begin with. If only our world class, expensively assembled and trained forwards were capable to put away the simplest of chances, we would have been out of sight. How many sitters did they miss? 3? 4? You pick anyone here or a random dude from the street and he still would have finished better than what they did.

I hope they enjoy next season in the Europa League playing every Thursday night against some unknown opponent on a shit pitch in a faraway country. I know the fans won’t.

So Fabs is demotted to CB for the rest of his carreer?

Anyone else notice Virg saying ‘fuck sakes’ in the stands 15-20 minutes before the end? He knew it as well whats going to happen

It’s kinda obvious, ain’t it? It’s like choosing between helping your kids and helping your neighbours’ kids.

Have you missed the last week or what?

exactly this and with how this super league thing panned out, they might jus say fuck it and pour the resources into the sox

So why didn’t you include Fabs in midfielders?
