There’s a big difference in money between Champions League, Europa League and no European football. We’re still in contention for top four but chances are slipping.
The club by and large doesn’t spend a great deal as is, so potentially without Champions League football the ability to spend somewhat diminishes. Elite players want to play Champions League and recruitment might become more difficult.
The club needs to recruit a few players, freshen the squad up and go again next season but there’s a few domino effects which could play out. Therefore to be bothered is a fair consideration.
That’s the trouble with early sat ko’s they can ruin the weekend

I’ve said it before, but I really think the broadcasters have pulled the wool over a lot of people’s eyes with the added crowd sound to make everything feel as “normal” as possible.
Watching Bundesliga on ESPN now with no crowd sound and it’s a totally different experience.

if a player doesn’t want to play for us when we not in the CL then fuck em, even klopp said that when he first joined.

Pretty sure Davis was a money laundering signing. Is he even real?

How will there be an independent inquest when FSG could be potentially part of the problem that started from January 2021?
The best way for John Henry to mend relations with fans is to cough up £100 million from his personal pocket - with that, the club can provide another say, £50-£70m.

He didn’t cost enough for that.
Surprised Henry hasn’t insisted on building a new tribune during the pandemic whilst the stadiums empty though.
yep… need quite a few new players… but need to sell a few as well
It’s now not a matter of joining us when we aren’t in the CL. Now, it is a matter of our best players leaving this club for a CL club!
Just look at Salah! He must have been frustrated seeing how his colleagues managed to fuck up twice in a row!

Pretty sure now that Davies is a CGI character!

The £50-70m I mentioned takes into account selling redundant players. But, Henry should either cough up £100m this summer, or sell the club to an Arab oil billionaire (better than Chinese or Russian oligarches).

I guess that means the Mbappe deal is definitely off then…

I would like to quote you a quip that a chinese politician said to a group of journalists, " Too young, Too simple".
all true… but i think salah has been angling for an exit for a while anyway… fact of the matter is the team needs a massive refresh… covid really fucked us after our title winning season as we coulnt make needed changes… but this has been coming… we have dominated the league and CL for three straight seasons… time to refresh, nothing lasts forever
He fucked up plenty himself too.

Not necessarily from FSG, I mean that Klopp will start to look at some players a bit more closely and evaluates who stays and who goes.
i was hoping that would be the budget added to the sell of players PLUS the 100 mil, thus giving us a war chest of about 250 million… the hope is part of that 750 million from redbird or redball goes to transfers… but remember BOTH lfc and sox need massive changes, will be interesting were the priority lies for the owners
With VVD, Hendo, Joel back, maybe one or two midfielders, and a poacher will be enough. Agree we need to sell a few.

It’s ok to sell a player that is either on the wane (see Torres) or a player that doesn’t fit your system ( see Coutinho). It is not ok to sell a player that is in his prime and fits our system to a T.
