Post match: Liverpool v Newcastle (EPL 31/1/26 8pm)

The problem is that last season all he had was end product. If anything his ‘legs have gone’ happened even before Arne arrived. For the first six months of 24-25 he was only end product (and did very well) but you could see that his speed and even strength on the ball had gone.

Hopefully so and now he’s at peace, regains his form and resigns for us.

Nobody hates Mo.

Personally, I will always love that man for what he has done for our club. That is what makes it so sad watching him nowadays.
The spark has gone and it’s heartbreaking.

I hope he can do enough to help us to success this season :folded_hands:t3:

Yeah and for the sake of the memories, I hope he can be kept to bit parts from the bench etc and participate in us winning big ears - perhaps a fairytale winner in a knock out game along the way? - and then leave on a high.

That referee was a disgrace. We won and played well so there hasn’t been much criticism of him. You can tell that he’s got an attitude problem by his demeanour and thinks it’s all about him. He must have given Newcastle 90% of the 50/50’s.

This.

What I do hate though is being told that any criticism of our team , our manager , our players or our owners disqualifies us from the YNWA gang. Some people need to fucking grow up and stop mythologising footballers.

Could you maybe elaborate why he is not good enough to play for us anymore, and who should be playing instead of him?

Sorry but based on what? your subjective eye test, or have you any evidence in terms of numbers, stats or anything to support your opinion?

Oh right yeah. Everything shit we do is Slot. Everything good is nothing to do with him. Grow up lad.

I’m off the whiskey/whisky until our next holiday.
Great performance last night. Ekitike and Wirtz were great all night Ibrou had a blinder of a game. All round a good performance.

Sorry Arne not giving you credit.

I’ve just seen a clip of our second goal, and you can see Alisson gesticulating to Kerkez to send it long to Ekitiké. It’s great to see that sort of understanding coming through.

I’m not sure people are disappearing when there is an uptick… but rather there are many here who can’t bother as well when the discussion on here sometimes goes in circles.

Not that there is ever a solution or a “correct” opinion but, hey maybe I’m asking too much if I hope for some sanity and the occasional quality insight.

It’s just a way to shut down discussion/criticism.

Really, really boring. And it’d get you laughed out the pub here as well, it’s something you only really find in online discussions.

After the spurs away game he refereed where he was disgraceful I was hoping we’d never see him officiate another Liverpool game Ever.

And if that doesn’t shut up every single bastard moaning one of us, then what’s the point?

Liverpool may have arrived in Tommy Hilfiger but it turns out Hugo’s Boss.

It is a collective act of love and we’ve talked about this before. Love is just care intensified. And care is everything. Care is a verb

I didn’t care to read the rest.

I dont think anyone dislikes Salah. From all accounts a nice fella. Been a great player for us. Great goals, match winner and breathtaking runs.
King of Egypt.
I believe he is still giving a 100% and training like a man possessed. But his contribution since we clinched the league last season has been negligible. All great players come to an end and it may be over for Salah (we all hope its just a dip in form) But with every crap performance that passes hope fades and it looks like he is finished. Its sad to watch. He deserves criticism for his performances but also sympathy and enormous gratitude for his past contributions of joy and entertainment he has given.
