that goes a long way to explaining it, because just by going on the coverage of showing Henderson, it was just bizarre to watch

How about the fact we came back to win from a goal down despite our entire team being disinterested/knackered/shite if you believe the fucking nonsense being posted on here?
Or the fact we just never gave up looking for a winner? We were relentless in those last 10-15 minutes and the only side trying to win it.
I keep reading how all our lads are gassed but against Palace and those turds last night we were the team with the legs at the end while Newcastle’s players looked absolutely goosed.

Liverpool were lucky, and Newcastle deserved to win the game.

You’ll by happy to know America is already managing it this way in high school games.

Probably. But it’s Van Dijk’s style to intimidate opponents by not showing any initiative but being standby and reading every move of the opponent, trusting his lightning reflexes to react on time. Even in counters, from what I can remember. Some opponents back out, and when they don’t, more often than not he manages to be in control of one on one situations.

In this case it was a series of individual movements without coordination between them, that created a gap for Isak to make the run and receive the pass. The last movement of those was Fabinho’s though, and without it there’s no gap.

Didn’t realize that! My lad just tried out for Carmel High School, didn’t make it (5500 kids in that high school, it’s like a college). So he is still playing club.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see the professional game evolving in that direction.

My step son was a star striker for a very small high school here in Indiana so I got to lots of games. The standard of refereeing is beyond shocking. I would expect Carmel high school to have a higher standard. Sadly he is only running track in college now - the absolute worst parental spectator sport. I have to sit there for 4 hours in order to see him for less than 2 minutes total 10-20 seconds at a time.

Tell him to run slower you get more time to enjoy it.

“I can’t explain it. Someone else is going to have to explain it.”

Get the feeling that’s a bit of a life motto for Trippier. Doesn’t strike me as the brightest lad.

I would say that Virgil is the best 1 v 1 defender I’ve seen

Update - he walked on to the rugby team (div 3 school, non varsity sport) and it apparently magically rather good at it. I guess I get to try to finally understand rugby rules and strategy.

So Achterberg gets fined 1k more for an incident that started with the Newcastle staff throwing a bottle at the Liverpool bench? How the hell does that work?

The FA?

Sandcastle threatened to execute? Sandcastle disposed of some fat brown envelopes? The FA have a particular dislike of Liverpool? Perhaps all of the above?
