Post match: Liverpool v Newcastle (EPL 31/8/22 8pm)

And Dopey Popey…

A bit of depression in the studio.

Klopp said Hendo’s sub was due to a hamstring issue :see_no_evil:

Eddie was very bitter that the ref didn’t stop the game for a sickening head injury. Left him on though.

I think I have to give Mariner some credit tonight. It seems he wasn’t conned by Newcastle’s time wasting after all.

And although we were poor they got what they deserved, nothing.

That winning goal is playing on a loop here all day tomorrow.

He looked in pain leaving the pitch.

Stick with 2 holding midfielders now vs the bitters.

Glad Saint-Maximin wasn’t fit for this game. The Barcodes had several quick counters which he would’ve made a difference.

Matip and Darwin back, so on to the Bitters Saturday early kick off where more of this time waste crap will go on.

Klopp it’s the perfect response to score in 98 minutes after the way Newsandcastle played.

Hopefully this result will kickstart a bit of belief from the players.

Everton game will no doubt be another game where they try to wind us up.

I do think Jurgen needs to calm down on the touchline, his raging and moaning transfers to the fans which transfers onto the players.

Elliott is the only one in the midfield that can come out of this game with any credit.

Fabinho is alright but needs to stamp his mark more.

As for Hendo, he is not doing anything remotely productive at LCM. Got his starting postion wrong, failed to track Isak, couldn’t effective recycle possession under pressure as well.

In other games, he is not effective at RCM given how he got shown up by Elliott recently. Let’s not go into his showing as a DM.

Good result, but not a great game for much of it.
Liked Marriner added a bit of extra time as a reward for Newcastle time wasting. They really must have pissed him off.
Young lads,Harvey in particular were excellent. He was my MOTM.
The future looks good.

We don’t have two fit holding midfielders …

Eddie Howe bats away questions about his paymasters executing 80 people so it’s to be expected that he wouldn’t admit to his blatant and obvious cheating tonight.

So, no chance Henderson will be fit for the Derby.

I can’t give credit to Marriner as the ref he should have nipped it in the bud early on with a yellow card, we all love free-flowing football, not the shit Pope did, refs get some balls!!!
