Post match: Liverpool v Newcastle (EPL 31/8/22 8pm)

That is bad. In fact, that is horrible! How many sick notes do we have now for our midfield???

Jones for LCM now???

Still rather have two double pivots there sticking to the CBs like glue than being caught out by their increasing lack of pace. Stick Harvey / Carvalho further forward if need be

Henderson hamstring injury :frowning:

Just when I thought injury situation was improving

I don’t get this does anyone think 5 mins extra time was right for their time wasting?? Also, it slows any momentum down and that’s the main reason for it

Looks like a Newcastle staff member threw a bottle at the Liverpool celebrations, and it kicked off from there.

They might be taking a slow and measured approach to their squad building, but they have wasted no time building a sense of entitlement.

This game was another nail in my coffin

Yellow cards don’t solve anything. They just take it in turns to time-waste. I preferred Marriner’s idea. Let us keep playing til we score. That’ll teach the cunts.

Managed to get myself in trouble with the wife after speaking to her ‘abruptly’ at the end of the game. Should know better than to try and explain trivial things to me in the 96th minute of a match we’re drawing though !

yep, was about to say hendo injured

That’s it spoil my day, Debbie :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

We haven’t got two holding midfielders. Lucas Leiva left the building some time ago. Hendo is not, I repeat not, a holding midfielder. Nor is anyone else on the books.

Please, please, please. No Milner. Curtis Jones in on the left of midfield.

i used to do that as well but i have matured after my wife threatened to cut of my third leg as i slept

very much needed 3 points. fabinho is not at the top of his game, firmino blows hot and cold some good moments but losing many balls leading up to dangerous counter attacks. the midfield doesnt look quite right.
with a win we at least go to Everton in better spirits

Exactly this. In $hitty’s shaky winning run at the tail end of last season, I saw a match where the yellow for time wasting was coming out for their opposition ealry in the first half.

AS Klopp said, the best way is the last gasp winner, but the things ike kicking hte ball away should have gotten a yellow long before that - then they wouldn’t have been able to take the one for the team yeloows in those last few minutes to snuff out any good positions.

Another injury in midfield, ain’t we the lucky ones that we bought a brand new midfielder the other day …
